Thankfully it’s 2:30. Hopefully any potential letdown can be avoided using last years disappointments.
I think this is HUGE.
Williams-Brice can be a bit raucous and a night game against a top 5 opponent would/could be tough to deal with. I think playing the game earlier is better for us. I really wish it was the 12 pm ET time slot.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but Bama just went through the toughest 4-game stretch you're going to find and went 4-0. Letdown spots are going to happen. I'll take any kind of win this coming Saturday but the way the college football landscape is today, no one is running through their schedule like some dominant teams did not even ten years ago.
Yeah, I'll take an ugly win heading into a bye after the stretch preceding. My core point is they can't keep on losing to opponents that aren't very good away from Bryant-Denny Stadium. They really can't afford to go into November with 2 bad losses no matter how many good wins they have. They need the wiggle room to lose 1 of the 3 remaining conference games in November and still be a CFP shoo-in.

I think there are 2 really troublesome road games left on the schedule.

And 1 home game against OU with Venebles having 2 weeks to prepare.
This USCe game is virtually a must win IMO, and definitely the 2nd potential letdown game of the season. Need the team to be ready and win anyway possible. I was more confident about the UT game than I am this one.

It’s an inside trap game and we gotta figure out how to stop it.

You just know Steven Garcia will be there for the coin toss in the 15th celebration of their 2010 win.

Back in July and August, I would’ve said 100% trap game. That would be basing it off of how they finished last season along with how tough this last four game stretch has been. Didn’t think their offense would be as bad as it it statistically, but they do have Mike Shula as OC. Don’t think their defense can hold up for 60 minutes against Ty and company.
We do have to come prepared though. Can’t treat this bunch like FSU.

It is abundantly clear that FSU was not a playoff contender. We just had a continuation of our losses to Vanderbilt, Oklahoma, and Michigan from 2024
You know what's odd to say? Vanderbilt was the best team on that list.

Just keep the defense focused on containing Sellars and preventing his scrambles. If we make him pass, I like our chances.
Im telling yall, Sellers got smoked in the 4th quarter. His throwing shoulder is not gonna be 100%. Im not a doctor but ive seen enough QBs go down like that. Think its called the AC joint or something.
Watch this play that starts around the 5:45 mark on the video.

One point win and no injuries and I'm happy

I watched that live and there’s no doubt he fell very hard on his throwing shoulder.

CrimsonCrusade, you'd feel odd saying it but you'd be right to say it.

I suspect Sellers is injured but he's still a load to bring down. If he gets a head of steam up, he's like a runaway freight train.
Their offensive line is a patchwork bunch. I suspect our guys will come up with 4-5 sacks in that game.
A big question mark is Dylan Stewart. He seemed to be badly injured on Saturday. If he can't go, that's a gigantic loss for them because there's big drop off between him and his back up.
Former Bama LBs Justin Okoronkwo and Shawn Murphy are starting for the Gamecocks. I'm sure they'll both act like they just shotgunned a gallon of double espresso before this game.

#2 has been serious but injured. No need to denigrate the players who, as far as we know and according to the coaches, are serious and working very hard.

Take it from me who has had to watch this trash all season, this is not a trap game. If anything, this will be more like a scrimmage for your guys.
If any of you are going to the game I’ll be sitting in the south endzone with a paper sack over my head, may change to plastic at halftime.

With our lines on both sides of the ball, any game can be one.

I think it’s so obviously a trap game that it is in fact no longer a trap game. Tide rolls.

They will play their best game against Alabama. Seems like every team does. It’s a trap.
