Sure. Who cares? He doesn't play defense and that's what lost them the game. MSU hasnt scored 56 against any Power 4 teams this year. Even if they scored the most points they've scored against a P4 team this year (41) they'd have lost by 2 scores.

Program was trying to help his stock. Pulling him out, putting boot on, etc.

He didn’t but look like he had the flu.

Flu or not, he was not part of the running game. His legs cold have kept a few drives alive, but they still lose big. Even on the one called QB run i remember he slid right past the first down line but could have probably at least ran another 10 yards if not more.

Eh, let them claim whatever makes them feel better. If I was Miss St I would be looking for a silver lining too.

No way he could play if truly had the flu that shite is rough, I never saw him hacking on the sidelines. I call BS

If true then the coaches are idiots for starting him

What I'm hearing is that BAMA's defense is capable of making Heisman finalists play like they have the flu.

One excuse is just as good as another. One of their fans started a thread before the game wondering if the refs would be in the Bama-bag. They need to feel better about getting their butts kicked after ESPN made KT the Heisman fruntrunner and CBS halftime guy Brian Jones picked MSU to beat us.

It doesn’t matter. He doesn’t play defense and we put up 49 even without the pick 6

Now we got UGA and I’m hoping we at least get 1 of Hill or Umuzulu (don’t know the spelling and not googling it mid post) back to harass Stockton

Yeah we need to get J.Hill back. He always makes a play at some point.

I think Zulu is out longer

He's a good young qb. And somehow, he's not in the same stratosphere as Russell. if everything is on schedule, he's lethal. If he has to hold the ball and process he becomes very pedestrian. It's the oldest story in football. Womack did a great job of making him play quarterback in instead of just throwing the football.

Lost by 33 points. Even if karmadio had swine flu, not having it would not have made one difference. They got curb stomped.

Sounds about right. Tennessee has a similar situation with the kid they just benched.

I buy his injury more than the flu. He seemed fine. But having the flu, testing positive for the flu, and how BAD you have the flu are all relative.

I had a nasty flu strain a year or two ago, and my SIL had it too and she almost felt nothing.

So, if he had a real flu-bug, his composure after the game and staying on the field to talk to players etc really didn't make me think it was bad.

Yeah, staying out after the game if he has the flu doesn't make much sense.
