I am definitely a bit gun shy after my gummy experience though. I'm not against alcohol alternatives, that's why I tried a gummy in the first place.
From experience. Open a can of whatever you end up buying, pour half of it in your fav yeti or tervis, fill the rest of the way with water and ice. Sip on it like you would a cocktail. Repeat. By the time you finish the 2nd tervis you're starting to feel the effect of the first half of the can. Open another if you wish.
I've found that if Im at a social gathering this method allows me to keeping "drinking" for a few hours without getting destroyed.

How did I miss this news. Just me?

I'm somewhat familiar, having worked with TotalEnergies (France, Pronounced Toe-Tal), and it runs a multitude of issues. Not just the burning, but where the project is and how it might affect "disenfranchised communities"....ya know the whole social cost thing from beginning to end.

which is what average home cost is now
This is part of the problem. You think you're settling by wanting an average house. My first in 2005 was 135K, which was about 100K below median. It wasn't in the best location in relation of things to do, but it was safe, and I was proud to own it. That same house sold a few years about for 195K, but I bet most people complaining they cannot buy a house would not even entertain owning this house.

Oil Majors are not lining up to drill to kill their own margins at this time. Oil prices already too low.
No major is going to deal with the state regs of bringing a pipeline onshore in Cali.

We have stayed here before. Nice hotel in a great location.
This right here for a Hilton member. Stayed here several times. Close to all the mid-town spots but you're not overwhelmed by humanity as soon as you walk out the door.

Should have seen him at the original LuLu's on Weeks Bay back in the 90's. I happened upon him one time.
Edit: Not sh1tting on your experience by the way. I'm sure it was a memorable moment.

Had this battle with my wife and our son during his Sr HS year on the basketball team. Son was usually the first off the bench and would play about half the game. Then there would be games throughout the season where he would not play for a single second, for a few games at a time. Wife was always pissed at the coach and wanted to say something but I had to remind her over and over that its most likely something our son was/wasn't doing at practice...but according to him he didnt du nuffin :) I know better than that. We never said anything to the coach nor did i even ask him as a father what my son was doing to get benched. That was between the coach and my boy. By the end of the year it had all worked out and he got back to playing about half the game. But if the wife would have had free reign she would have probably gotten our son benched the rest of the year.

but there are major trunklines popping up across TX bringing that gas east to the existing plants in Corpus and Freeport and additional plants being added in Brownsville and all the way north
This is what I'm working on too. The LA coastline is getting a little overcrowded and the gas just isn't there. All the new action is in TX and ready for a handful of 500+miler pipelines coming from the Permian.

Bruce Springsteen. I will never understand why so many people love him. It’s baffling to me.
Had this exact convo with a buddy last weekend. My stance is that solo guys of similar age, John Mellencamp and Billy Joel are much more appealing.

I was consulting with a company that was looking into a HUGE Green Hydrogen project around CC....like $20BB huge. The amount of water needed is what ultimately killed it.

Not sure why but sports stories with kids with needs always get me.
This is the second one this week that made me tear up. On MNF they did a story on the Jags DE son who HAD cancer. Keyboard warriors were talking shite about the DE missing the Jags last game last year, meanwhile he was with his son during his first operation for treatment. Onions.

Can we re-center and get back to this sentence. Grandfather was a Marine and did USC pre-game ceremonies...cool, thank your GF for us. Then we jump straight into so Marcus wants to Facetime my Dad....um ok, why? Do they know each other, did he know your GF and wanted to reconnect with an old friend?
Then unfortunately Dad picked up...why is this unfortunate? Wasn't the request for your Dad to pick up and Facetime....for whatever reason?

Opal knocked down trees in Montgomery. Damage was heavy far inland, all the way to Montgomery, where sustained winds reached 90 mph.
I had just started school in Troy. It was completely fricked. I had to drive up to Montgomery to get on 65, to be able to head home to Baldwin Co. What normally was a 3 hr drive turned into 8.
Also my head hurt so damn bad driving home. I bought Bud Dry for a hurricane party because it was like $2.45 a 6-pack, so I got like 4-sixers. ouch.
