RB will be fine. Not great, but fine.

This could be like the final 4 team - great offense but not great defense. I exoect 25 wins again

Milroe destroyed bad teams just like Holstein did. vs WKU, mercer, wisconsin, USF
46/68 (68%) 776 yards, 11.4 YPA, 10 TD/0 INT
199 rush yards, 4.7 Rush YPA, 7 rush TDs
He also destroyed LSU twice and UGA twice.

The good thing about a 230pm kickoff is that you don't have to get a hotel right by the stadium. I'm thinking of going and if hotels are that expensive (and I just looked and saw one for $145 6 miles from the stadium) you can just stay an hour away for cheap and drive in. Same for after the game. Unless it's a 11am or 8pm kickoff you can drive a bit.

Interesting. Here in Alabama it's been the coolest spring I can remember. It hasn't gotten above 83 here in Birmingham this month. The average high has only been 75 for May and was 77 in April. I'm enjoying it while it lasts.

You are.

I wouldn't want someone else's unsecured firearm in my vehicle. What's he going to do? Take the gun to the cops?
re: How would you rank Jalen Milroe amongst our other QBs who have started this century?
Posted by JIB on 5/5/25 at 9:23 am
People saying he's at the bottom are just being obtuse. The problem was inconsistency. He obviously was better than Tyler Watts. Now, Tyler Watts had some good games, but he wasn't a better QB than Milroe. Milroe gets a lot of hate because he shite the bed in some big games.

Here's a mock draft for 2025 from this time last year. Milroe was #1.
LINK
Here's another one that had Carson Beck and Shadeur was top 10 guys:
LINK
This one has Shadeur #1 and also has Carson Beck and Harold Perkins as top 10 pick with Quinn Ewers at #12 and Milroe at #25.

Don't pay any attention to mock drafts. They're all projection and always, always laughably wrong.

Walter Camp does not do a mock draft, I think you're thinking of Walter Football, a different organization.
One of the guys on the Walter Football mock draft is Antonio Kite, so take that draft with a huge grain of sailt.

re: Not directly on topic but alarming: Ky. shifts athletic department to private LLC company

The NFL needs a place to develop players for their league. Long term that's in jeopardy the more college sports is driven by money and the more detached it is from the school. It's pretty bad as is, but it's only getting worse. A lot of these kids don't even step on campus except for football - they're taking everything online.
I don't mind spending money on Alabama football in exchange for watching a game. I am not going to spend money on Alabama football so a player that's making more than I am (or ever will in a year) can have more money in their pocket. If enough people like me think that way and funds dry up and Alabama football goes into the dustbin of history, so bed it. I am not going to directly fund 18-22 year old millionaires.

On the one hand it doesn't seem like a big deal but on another it seems like a huge deal. I wonder what implications that has for Title IX?

Bond's decision to transfer is one of the worst decisions I've seen in a long time in terms of football. I have never seen so much goodwill burned. It also doesn't help he's being investigated for rape either!

Glad to see Booker go high. He’s been a great ambassador for Bama and an underappreciated player.

I predict Milroe doesn't attend the draft green room.
re: Keelon Russell Will Be The Starter

People that use the term "butthurt" to describe people who simply disagree with them are not worth paying attention to.
The problem with a QB dominant team isn't that it's QB dominant, it's that they don't have surrounding pieces. You want the best QB you can get.

Keelon has the most talent. I think we can agree on that. The issue is knowing where to throw the ball and just as importantly, where not to throw it. Ty has the advantage there. Another thing to remember is that as bad as Milroe played several times last year DeBoer wouldn't pull him. So if Ty is the guy from game one it will be hard for Russell to overtake him, even if loses and INTs pile up.
