This stuff is ridiculous. He's suing because at the time players couldn't get money for NIL. Total horseshite from him. I hope it gets thrown out. If everyone sued the NCAA for this (and they could if this wins) then it would blow it all up, which is what a lot of people want, apparently.

There are two main types of addiction - chemical and behavorial. They're related. If you love cocaine, that's chemical. If you love the thrill of gambling, that's behavioral. A lot of kids avoid the chemical stuff - drug usage among young people has plummeted (except weed it seems) - but they are often addicted to the dopamine hit of social media and gambling.
I fear I would succumb to the chemical method so I avoid that stuff. I'm glad I grew up without the constant dopamine hits these kids get used to.
I'm kind of glad my son isn't too big into sports because it would be very easy to pivot that into a love of gambling.

There are lots of cases of teams drafting a QB while having a good QB with lots of tread left. It's a solid strategy to keep you successful..

Bowen's family is from Sudan, where cousin marriage is the norm. About half of all marriages in Sudan are between 1st cousins.
I've never known of a single cousin marriage in Alabama.

I think we may be forgetting how limited this team was last year. O line was terrible and we had no running game, which is mostly tied to the offensive line. We have changed O line coaches and we have changed the line around.
I think if we can run for 4 yards a carry against P4 teams we will be very good. For perspective, Bama didnt average 4 yards a carry against a single Power 4 team last year besides Auburn and that would have been 3.5 ypc if not for a 26 yard scramble by Ty in the game. Bama averaged 2.8 yards per carry in the conference. 2.57 against winning teams.
A mediocre run game will do wonders for the offense.

Fielder could be really good. he averaged 14.7 on 54% shooting and 41% from 3 in only 23 minutes for a team that averaged 78 ppg.
If he played 25 minutes per game at our pace he'd be scoring over 18 a game and getting 8 rebounds.
That said, I'm not going to get worked up for a transfer from a lower level conference. Not again.

Allen should test out the waters. I imagine he'll be told to come back. He is not ready. The NBA has done a terrible job of developing guys that don't make day 1 rosters. If he gets sent to the G League he will end up regretting coming out early.

Unless he gets hurt he'll get 10. He's good enough to get a lot but not Will Anderson level where teams will scheme against him ridiculously.

I took my 13 and 14 year old last fall. We did 2 days. You could do 1 but it'd be a lot. I'd suggest 2. You could manage 1 if you got the skip the line add on and/or went during a less busy time.
5 of Bama's top 6 scorers played at Bama the previous year. The only one who didn't was Amari Allen because he was a freshman.

He has not pivoted well in the new era. I would take Oats over Self 10 times out of 10. Self would absolutely be a huge downgrade if he came to Bama and I think Oats would do a lot better than Self has done at Kansas lately.

I wonder if muted championship celebrations are because of this. When you have been to several schools its hard to get as excited.

I wonder how the conversation with Bowen goes. Does he know he's not coming back early on? Was it a surprise? Did he ask for more money and get turned down?
