My point was that people seem convinced that KR12 is going to be great. And for the record I hope he is. I want him to be successful.
But to suggest you know something based on scrimmages and almost zero in-game reps makes me chuckle. That's all.

No argument. I didn't know Tua or Young would be stars without a doubt either. However, I had the same feeling about Russell as those two when each only had cleanup duty appearances.

He was a 3* until may(ish) 2024 when he was rated 4*. Got the 5* in July 2024 after hours performance in the camp. Not arguing... Just adding dates.

There never was a QB competition let alone a controversy or anything suspenseful. KR will finish as the 1st or 2nd ALL SEC QB this year. Point blank and period.
If you are an individual who partakes in gambling, I would get while the gettin is good…..bc by week 2, or 3 (at the latest), every idiot with a microphone is going to be slobbering on themselves how they knew he was special from the beginning, etc

Nah, there’s a loooot more to it than just that I assure you.
I know I’m just a guy behind a screen, but if you were ever going to take a hint or go with a gut-feeling, then if you feel it in the slightest with what I’m telling you about KR….then you should cash in on it while there’s time. If not, well then just wait and enjoy the ride.
I just hope I don’t fall into that trap of taking his gifts for granted and once the novelty wears off a bit and he’s not the top story every week anymore bc we have all grown accustomed to just expecting it (similar to CNS), and then you look up one day and it’s over.
I’m going to try and appreciate this more than I ever did with what CNS accomplished after 2011.
Bama fans have been very blessed to have experienced the two GOAT coaches of the sport, and now will get to witness KR’s talents right after CNS’s reign of terror is beginning to fade from everyone’s mind.

If ANY of the 3 don’t happen then you win the money….1:3 odds for me bc I have to get all 3 correct.

But will you have the balls to come back and admit you were wrong if he does really well this year? I'm not "guaranteeing" anything but I think he's going to do really, really well this year (barring injury).
Why? He's got a bazooka for an arm, has a nice touch on the ball and can extend plays. I also think he'll get and has gotten some really good coaching from this staff. That makes a gigantic difference.
Why do you think year after year, CKD has signed all these highly regarded QBs? It's not because of the smoking hot women in Tuscaloosa. It's because most recruits know they'll be coached up by this staff and CKD in particular.
I've seen enough film of him in HS and in his time at practice and a little game experience to see he's got some elite skills. I'm sorry but the camera doesn't lie.

What I was saying was not meant to be a bad reflection on AM, but to convey that he was unfortunate to be competing with someone who may be one of if not the most talented QBs in Alabama’s storied history. We’ll see. That’s what I meant when I said, “he never really had a chance”. I think Mack might start for multiple programs, including Alabama at a different time.

Oh I agree. I also agree with the comment about the offense being QB first. I don't mind that at all. I was merely commenting on how seemingly KR12 was being talked about like he was some proven commodity. He isn't.
Everybody seems to be questioning the O-line. Why? Because they haven't proven their ability in game. Right?

What would have been wrong about? I have never said KR12 is going to be bad. I am just waiting to see him play, IDK, at least one game, before I start crowning him the best in the SEC.

This can be said about MANY players at this level. So much so that it's the norm more than the exception. You mean to tell me that he can throw and run and this is rare in football?? It isn't the 1980s.

He hasn't until he got to BAMA. Deboer has signed exactly ONE 5 star qb in his entire career as head coach-KR12.

I’d take this bet and I like Russell and think he will be really good. But I don’t think the first two are happening.
