Or they both could’ve been really good. I’ve read reports that both are ahead of where Ty Simpson was at this time last season. So odds are your reasoning is flawed

This is the ideal scenario, we've got a great backup, definitely Tua/Hurts situation that Mack can come in and win a game if needed

Fair enough.

Maybe I'm badly underestimating Mack, and I hope that's the case. If the reports of both of them being ahead of Ty at this point are true, then that's obviously great.
