My dad, the eternal Alabama football pessimist that probably thought the sack on the first play was an indicator of the impending 5-7 season, was around for that too. He thinks Tua is the best QB he’s ever seen at Alabama

My father left this world (4/21/07) but he knew Saban was going to turn it around.
But Pat Trammell was his all time favorite QB.
He loathed Bill Curry with a passion.

Herbstreet's answer to that is the Alabama coaches see him everyday against the Alabama defense and he does the same thing every day to the Alabama defense that he did to Georgia in the second half. And Herbstreet said he has watched him do it to the Ala defense in practice too.

To me the big question about our offense is whether the O-line can stop all the breakdowns we saw, especially in the first qtr. If Tua is dodging 3 unblocked players, there will be turnovers, or even worse, he could get hurt.

I'm enjoying it too

Guys, I'm really just here to fill the void of eternal pessimist. It seems all of those guys that existed during the Jalen era have left, and there is nobody guarding the hen house.

I have volunteered myself as tribute, and will accept all the downvotes and hatred for the cause. Bring me your poor and your weary, your excited and your geeked. I will negabammer them into pulp, for the TAHD.

I have zero concern about the O-line. They're going to be a force.

My father left this world the same year. He was a big saints fan and Bama fan. I sure do wish he could have seen 09’, but I’m sure he has the best seats in the house.

But we can try, just a little bit, to tap the breaks on Tua?

I think the control here will be the LSU game where we’ve always gotten into a cage match with LSU, no matter how good they are. If Tua rolls into Death Valley and lights it up against Aranda (who basically cracked the Hurts code), then look out.

If Tua goes to Death Valley and puts up 28+ points then I will rename my children Tua 1 and Tua 2

To hell with you guys. I'm going full on Tua Tard. I've seen him play. The guy doesn't rattle. He makes plays.

Will he throw and interception or two... ah hell, I'm going to say "No. He'll be perfect this year." He may only have a total of 10 incompletions on the whole year. Four of them will be clear drops that hit a guy in the bread basket. 2 against Ole Miss. 2 against LSU. 1 against Auburn. Maybe 1 in the playoff series...maybe.

If he stays healthy, he will regularly put up 35 in the first half of games and be sitting after the half drinking coconut smoothies.

When he has his inevitable bad game I doubt Bama fans will pounce on him. Most Bama fans watched two bad seasons from Hurts and still supported him. I think Tua will be ok if he throws a few picks or so.

Tua's worst game will be better than Jalen's best game.

That would be impressive. One guy scoring 28+ points against LSU's 11-man defense - incredible. Unbelievable, really.
