re: The punting unit

UAsports, Greg McElroy agrees with you. He said the replacement missed his block on the blocked punt vs Ga and that caused the blocked punt
The key was some rest and recovery for the injured players. Our head coach said our center being close to 100 pct would make a huge difference and our center said having the injured guard back would be a big thing for him. Although the tight ends were not 100 pct they were still an upgrade over the freshman. It was very obvious that our running back was moving much better than the Ga game. And it’s probably safe to say Ty is feeling better. We probably won’t know what the injury is until after the season, but some say it’s fractured ribs. Not sure about that because it doesn’t look like he is wearing any protection. Maybe it would interfere with throwing the ball though.
Agree PBD. How could you miss that call. Then one group of talking heads were arguing that our guy didn’t catch the ball. Never mentioned the obvious interference that wasn’t called. How could it not be interference?

They are not any good on offense but if it’s low scoring they have the advantage with the kickers and the snapper. Their field goal kicker is very good. But, hopefully stay healthy and play with an absolute mad on. Every down

I tend to agree but they should have done this earlier in the season. One problem might be what you are telling the 3rd place QB when you obviously pick number 2.
Fairly confident we would have beaten Oklahoma last time we played if we had not just given them the game with turnovers. That is really their strength though. Forcing turnovers. The other problem could be the kicking game, though. Both kickers and the snapper.
Coaches often say that evaluating offensive linemen if the most difficult position. I personally think it has to start with quick feet, but that is needed for most positions. We have too many players on offense with slow feet.

Crowell would definitely help next Friday
It’s also Christmas party season. Everybody and their brother are having office parties or some kind of get together.
Those arenas probably hold half or less than half of the BJCC. Even Auburn.
A sell out of the BJCC is equal to 2 Auburn gym sell outs. Tuscaloosa is one and a half of the barns little gym.

Ala putting a beat down on MS
40-10
Definitely have a running back headed to Tuscaloosa
Against Ga, our center was playing with an injury. DeBoer said this week that he should be close to 100 pct for Oklahoma and that will make a big difference.Kam Dewberry, was hurt and out.Vandemark went out with an injury during the game. Jam Miller and Kevin Riley were out and DeBoer said Daniel Hill was playing hurt. Both Tight ends, Lewis and Cuevas were out, leaving two freshmen. On top of that 6 defensive players were either listed as out or got injured during the game and didn’t return. Good luck to the backup quarterbacks

Whatever, the staff feels he gives us the best chance to win based on what they see in practice every day. If the O line is healthy our QB will do fine. Of course the receivers need to catch the ball and not fumble after a catch. Oklahoma wins games with a better field goal kicker so that, or the snapper or the punter have been problems in the losses we have had lately. The blocked punt had a bad snap and a missed block by a backup who was replacing an injured player. The backups had some bad plays vs Ga. Costly
Bham arena holds 18,000.

We don’t even have a thread on this site about the game. And whether you like it or not, tomorrow morning is Sunday morning and that is important to many people in this state.

BS, what film are you looking at?

But, the thing That I think could hurt him is that he doesn’t seem to have any feel on long passes. And he seems to get rattled. If he has a serious back injury that could cause some of his problems though.

Did you see the 4th downs vs Auburn
Do you see the drops by our receivers.
Do you see all the mistakes by the young players on offense. Maybe listen to Greg McElroy a couple of times and he can explain it to you. Have you read articles about how many O linemen were out as the game vs Auburn progressed. We have second and 5 in 3rd qtr vs Ga on our 18 yard line. Deer at running back. Oline does a perfect job and opens a huge hole. Ty takes the snap and turns to hand off to Deer but he has taken off and does a chip block. Another blown drive. And a huge running play missed. That is just one of a number of mistakes by young players per Greg.

When we run the ball don’t have so many slow delayed hand offs. Just run a quick hitting power attack
