re: Alabama Basketball | Off-season & Recruiting - IB4bama
he Arkansas game was the worst example of it not working when Herb started the game at point guard and had 3 charging fouls before I got seated. Arky had been practicing the flop for that game, and one SEC ref bought it hook, line and sinker. It didnt take a brain surgeon to scout what he was going...

some people think the name image and likeness fiasco will change all of college sports and the best players will end up where all the money is--the West Coast. These older coaches dont want to deal with it and the xfer portal....

re: Alabama Football Tidings - IB4bama
Najee is a better receiver than all most all of those backs you listed. He ran, blocked and caught the ball very well. Henry was such a home run threat, you would probably have to put him at the top, or near it. ...

The kids need to have the value of the education instilled into them at an early age. Poor parenting will almost always produce poor results in the kids. And you also cant hold teachers responsible for rogue kids they have to teach. Not sure if they are still doing it, but Hoover was separating t...

its been a disaster, especially in the minority schools. They are going to have summer education in the Bham schools to try to catch the kids up. Most kids wont study (or work) unless there is an adult supervision and enforcement. ...

re: The Athletic - Mac Jones’ coming-to-the-NFL story - IB4bama
We should have never put a linebacker at running back on the goal line. He totally whiffed on the block, and we had an Auburn player in Macs face. You never saw that stupid crap again after that play. What could that linebacker do with the football that Najee Harris couldnt do anyway? And, he sur...

I think you will hear from the ncaa before bball season and it wont be good. This new independent committee hasnt gone away. They said it would take until at least this July before they would be begin to come to a final resolution on the cases that had been turned over to them. If your bball coa...

that really is a good read. That brings back something Cole Cublic said during tthe season. He said it was shocking to him how much rope Sark was giving Jones. But, Cublic said--very well earned. They had a ton of confidence in Mac. He could be a great OC, too....

That 600 million is a 10 yr fund raising goal and we are 2 years into it. Phase one included the football stadium, the sports science bldg, and one of the minor sports. Phase II included bball. I think previously they were leaning toward gutting the inside of Coleman and making the seating ca...

Well, they also changed the rules about touching the man dribbling the ball. You cant impede the progress of the dribbler. Grant believed in hard nosed defense, and full court defense. They changed that rule right after we hired Grant....
