I know, right? It’s like we’re just all waiting for some other shoe to drop because it seems too good to be true.

I wasn’t around when Namath & Stabler played at Bama, but my father was. And in his opinion they was the best in his time.

In my Time, I’ve never seen a better QB at Bama then Tua. That young man is a special talent.

Sure... Tua will make some mistakes but his upside is will outweigh this.

I hear ya. I have a too good to be true feeling, but I’ve had that since Saban took over. Just try to enjoy every game and be proud of what he has already done for us. No matter what.

I mean, he's going to have some "bad" games. Tua has a quick trigger and takes a few risks with the ball, so it's not like he's going to throw 2 INTs all season. Louisville has both Bobby Petrino and Brian Van Gorder on their coaching staff. Their defense is going to be garbage for that reason alone. Expecting Tua to shred LSU or Auburn like he did Louisville isn't reasonable. That doesn't mean the other shoe is about to drop though. Tua is a special talent and it's readily apparent. Any mistakes he makes will be greatly outweighed by the big plays he creates for us.

My dad, the eternal Alabama football pessimist that probably thought the sack on the first play was an indicator of the impending 5-7 season, was around for that too. He thinks Tua is the best QB he’s ever seen at Alabama.

I get the thought process George, but it’s plain as day that the kid is a special talent. Embrace it, don’t let your brain put up a defense mechanism because you aren’t used to this. We finally have one, and we only have him for this season and the next, and it will be a long time before we have another one like him. Immerse yourself in his greatness, and in 30 years at his hall of fame induction ceremony, you can tell your grandkids that “I was there, kiddo”

Why can't the offense play aggressive?

I don't believe it's unreasonable to think he can be as good as, or perhaps better than Deshaun Watson. That would be pretty damn good.

Edit: but yes, a different style. Perhaps not as good a runner as Watson but a better passer.

Then the intangible things. Actually reading defenses, checking down to secondary receivers, seeing the entire field. These aren't illusions we're seeing, and not just good luck he's had. He can do these things. But yeah. He's gonna have the occasional bad game. Every qb does.

Does he read Tigerdroppings?

If not, I'm going to continue to say he's amazing.

We couldn't be more excited about how he played last Saturday and he 2 TD passes and 220 yards. Nobody is bitching about those stats.

Its not going to stop because its not JUST about Tua. Its about Tua being on the most stacked (talent wise) offense we have had under CNS. Not to mention we know our defense will be a Bama defense.

Plus, he's already the best QB since AJ at least and I think its pretty clear he is more talented than AJ.

I just don't see why they can't be a middle ground between............"Game manager QB" and "2x Heisman winner and best QB of the last decade".
Why can't it be that they're evaluating what they see him do on the field?

How shocked would you be if he's in NY this year and next?

How about just let us enjoy it? No one thinks he is infallible or may not have a bad game.

Watch this fanbase when he has an average to bad game. Will be pandemonium in here.
Yeah, I don't see many people here freaking out if he has a bad game.

It seems like some Alabama fans are doing the exact opposite of the people of the rant saying Tua won't handle pressure and hasn't done enough for us to know if he's good or not.

Both sides are in denial. I think he's the truth.

Sorry, Tua doesn't have brakes. Full throttle full time. All go no slow. We fans are just along for this enjoyable ride.

Ed Zackery.........Defense should be the focus going forward if this team is to get to Atlanta. It will be great to to return to the normal chatter regarding a starting QB for the U of A.

As of today there NO Way Tua can actually perform to the expectations that have been placed on the guy.

And there it is.

Stop projecting on us, bro

Can he get hurt? Absolutely. Will he have a bad game and Alabama lose? Definitely a possibility.

Who cares? It's football. It happens. But I'm gonna enjoy this shite and not go through the season like I'm walking on egg shells trying not to have my expectations and feelings crushed.
