We look completely lost at times, wrong personnel on the field, pre snap penalties, not getting lined up correctly, running into each other in the backfield, etc.

We’re in week 4 now.
All of this. People seem to not be concerned because up until now we’ve been able to dig out of the hole. What happens when a team doesn’t allow that? Every one complaining on here (well most) are doing so because we know eventually a team isn’t going to let us shut them out in a second half. Digging out of a three touchdown hole isn’t a successful game plan in the SEC.

I stand by what I said. I don’t think “fans” should boo their own team. It has nothing to do with paid or not. Outside of lack of effort I don’t see a reason for it.

What's wrong with a little perspective and some gratefulness?
The last two games are the only times a KDB Alabama squad has comeback from a deficit at halftime. It shows our players are mentally strong, they're developing character and our staff is quite good at make adjustments which significantly impact the game.
Is that not an amazing thing? Why is no focus brought on that?
Every offense is predicated on the play of the QB. Ours is a first time starter who is trying to get comfortable and grow in play. Wouldn't that be part of why we start slow? Is it crazy to think with more reps and confidence Keelon will start faster and Grubb can be more aggressive early?
Just some perspective.
Seriously though some of you are beyond spoiled and entitled. We should be grateful to God we have this team considering what we have had in past seasons.

How about the fans on here begging for Kiffin or Lanning? Kiffin has a $50MM roster and was down 3 scores to Ole Miss. Lanning loses to a team that got their arse kicked by Tulsa. Fans are dumbasses and our fanbase has a hell of a lot of them. If I'm Grubb or CKD I would pack my shite at the first chance to jump shite because why in the world would anyone want to deal with this fanbase. We need true mediocrity to come back to weed the vast majority of roll tide willies out of here.

Saban IMO was both the best and the worst thing ever to happen to this program.
Best because of all the big trophies.
Worst because a generation of fans have never known anything else and can't understand why it's unrealistic to expect the same thing forevermore.

The same was said of the older folks who were alive for Bear Bryant. That mentality eventually landed us Saban. Here's the thing: what makes Alabama Alabama are the expectations. It's why Perkins went back to the NFL, it's why Curry ran away to Kentucky, and it's why DuBose and Shula were fired after disappointing outings following 10-win seasons.
Maybe we demand too much but there's a reason why we are among the Top 3 winningest programs of all-time and have more national championships than any other team currently in the FBS.

And the pursuit of excellence didn't start with Bear Bryant. We had a couple of really high caliber coaches before him. It is culture - we have a winning culture. And people can scream about results, cuss, and stomp at those who are "spoiled" or "morons" all they want. Grubb was out of line and what he said served no good purpose - even if we was right in what he said. A leader doesn't do that bullcrap

Perkins didn't leave because of high expectations. He left because he was offered part ownership of an NFL franchise that was owned by a BAMA alum.
Perkins had the program headed in the right direction when he left, but the Univ. Pres. hired Curry instead of Bowden and everyone knows the rest.

I'm fine with high expectations but there are two things that can't be ignored-
A. There is no Nick Saban 2.0 out there right now. The closest to him are Kirby and maybe Curt CIgnetti. Neither are ever coming to Bama.
B. Yes, Bama can compete in terms of NIL. We're not "broke" but we're not in the top 5 either. That matters. Rant and rave all you want but it DOES matter.
This is not to say Bama can't have a really good team but the years of Bama stocking top 3 recruiting classes year after year are over. That matters. Coach Bryant used to say you have to have chicken to make chicken salad.
Bama can and will have some really good teams but every year winning at least 12 games are over. I'm sorry but that's reality.

Yeah those expectations go back to Wallace Wade and Frank Thomas.
But those guys and Bryant and even Saban for most of his time operated in a different universe than what we have now.

News flash. It’s CFB. Fans are going to be passionate and fanbases at any major school are pretty much the same. Some LSU fans had buyers remorse Saturday.

My issue here has nothing to do with results. I totally get what you are saying. My thing isn't even the booing (which we shouldn't do.) My issue is his way of handling it.

So now because a transfer with low self asteem put out a statement, the fans are just spoiled and have too high of expectations.
