And I don’t think you have to score on every drive to get the first half under control. You’re not guaranteed to score on every drive. Sometimes as long as this game is played by imperfect human beings what you do isn’t going to work. But you can look organized on both the sideline and the field, you can execute, you can compete, you can not dig yourself into a hole.

That's a reasonable expectation and that's really all anyone wants or expects. Those expectations though are going unmet.
The bitching, booing, hemming and hawing is completely justified, especially after last season.

Again, it’s about execution. If the other team mans up and stops us, so be it. But don’t make it easy for them. Have the team prepared to execute from the first snap. You keep executing and they won’t stop us.

I really didn't think it was THAT big of a deal. Sure, he shouldn't have said it to the media, but we aren't freakin' snowflakes...obviously not ideal to insult basically who allows for those direct deposits to keep showing up though.

This whole thing is dumb. Who really gives a shite that he called out the boo birds in a game where our offense put up 50 points and almost 600 yards? He wasnt talking about the entire crowd, just the boo birds. Big deal. Are people really this soft? He shouldn't have apologized. Lets move on for Christ's sake.

I’ve never even booed the opposing team. Have booed some refs, a lot of refs. I grew up greeting the team buses in Birmingham and was taught to clap for the opposing team buses and lose your shite for alabamas. But frick grubb, he’s an annoying frick

I think our staff sometimes struggles with the concept that unless they run this program into the ditch that every single team we play is going to be tryhard af against them.
Every team we've played this year had things that were not quite what they put on tape against everyone else. ECU played more drop 8 coverage than I think we expected. Kentucky seemed to pressure a lot more than we expected. FSU seemed very well prepared for us to run the pin and pull or counter runs to the B-gap and they were prepared to throw it all over us instead of trying to run it relentlessly like they had in the first two games.
It's been like this ever since Alabama won their first Saban national title. Hell, that 2018 Clemson CFPCG arse beating was Dabo essentially not running their actual offense but just plucking every single pass play we struggled to defend earlier in the season and deployed the right ones in the right moments on 3rd and longs.
South Carolina is definitely going to have some things we've never seen from them on Saturday night. They've been hell for us the last two seasons. Really could have lost both games against them but made the plays we needed. Can we weather the onslaught of all the gotchas Beamer's crew will have on ready just for us?

The best way to address/solve all of this would be to come out and kick South Carolina in the teeth from the opening kickoff. Coaches, players and fans would all be happy about that.

He's not wrong. Alabama has the most entitled fanbase in the country and it's honestly embarassing to see how folks act on here, at games and on twitter.They act like every year was murderball and that shite has been gone for 6 years. The loudest ones are the ones who arent season ticket holders and arent donating every month to yea alabama either.

Fans aren’t demanding perfection. But when your first two drives go three and out, you go down 21-6, and you’re looking at another 3rd and 10 against an unranked team then you’re going to get some reactions. I know we’ve scored over 40 points consecutively but people still have last year’s performance in their minds. I do at least. We’ve been dominate in the second half but I still find myself going back to those games last year where we dug a hole and couldn’t climb out.
