Florida coach Jon Sumrall is putting an emphasis on physicality during the week as the Gators prepare for another SEC matchup.

During an appearance on The Triple Threat podcast this week, Sumrall explained the importance of what he calls “Bloody Tuesday,” a practice day he uses to gauge whether his team is ready to play on Saturday.

“The coaches’ time to shine is Sunday through Friday. Saturday’s the players’ day to go play,” Sumrall said. “Tuesday is my game day, not theirs. I told our team after our run-through, ‘Hey, tomorrow’s Bloody Tuesday. I’m going to know if we’re ready to play this week by how we practice tomorrow.’

“We’ve got a great indoor practice facility here. On Tuesdays, we don’t use the damn indoor. I don’t want anybody going in the indoor on Tuesday. We’re going to be outside. I hope it’s hot. Tuesdays have to be physical and violent, and you’ve got to strain, or you don’t know how to play that way on Saturday.”

Florida will travel to Missouri this weekend for a 2:30 p.m. CT kickoff on ABC.

I figured he'd have success...but damn, the Gators look for real.

He could've at least changed the name or moved a few letters around - Tuddy Bluesday.

But shite, I guess. If you're going to rip off another coach, Kirby's a good one.

SEC Rant was clowning this coach over the summer. He’s already gotten their respect.

Copycat...

Didn't even bother to change the name.

Yeah, he stole this from Kirby. Fraud.

How dare he copy a national championship coach....I mean coaches never steal, borrow, copy from other coaches...

When Lane Kiffin’s halftime speech got leaked the other week, apparently he stole that from Kirby.

So Kirby has invented halftime speeches and Tuesday practices

Nobody familiar with epic Kirby locker room speeches could've listened to the Kiffin speech and thought that he wasn't impersonating Kirby. It was the same rhythm cussing and same cadence and everything, except with a wimpier and pansier voice.
