The media picks up stuff from message boards and it gets back to coaches. A certain reporter told Deboer that he being called Husky Harsin.
There's been a lot of criticism on Grubb with the slow starts, play calling and the run game, although it's improving. I'm sure it gets back to them.

All the time circa 2007-2017 and 2021-2023. 2018-2020 were the only Saban years where it was unusual for us not to score early and often. Most years we'd have plenty of games against weak opponents that were 10-3 or something halfway into the second quarter before we'd score, force a turnover or 3 and out, score again, and go into the half up 24-3 with the kickoff coming our way that we'd inevitably march down the field for 4-6 minutes to go up 31-3 halfway through the third and start subbing. The difference with DeBoer is that we tend to dig holes rather than just fail to build leads, and then all too often we shoot ourselves in the foot on crucial plays that keep the game competitive longer.

We had almost 600 yards of offense and 50 points and we didn't score a TD till late in the 2md quarter.
Yet we have fans calling him all kinds of names and wonder why he doesn't have a liking of them. Do any of these fans like when people insult them at their job, place of business, etc? Especially when you're actually doing a decent job of figuring things out and taking responsibility for what goes wrong?
Then he's called a narcissist by some of the same folks who complain 2 minutes into every game this year that "KDB sucks and we should have hired Lane Kiffin".
It's actually bordering psychotic and the ones being soft, narcissistic and entitled are these types of fans.

I agree man. I get the impatience and even when they make mistakes calling them out in the passion of the moment but after the game you have so many negative plants you wonder if we weren't the team who played a tough Kentucky at their house then turned around to play a decent (yes they are decent) FSU who had two weeks to gameplan for us and still put up 50 on them when SMU and their QB couldn't hit 40.

I was watching a Chicharito interview before the World Cup where he talked about this. A little bit different as soccer culture describes themselves as "supporters" whereas in football we use the term "fans", but I think the point was interesting.
He basically said people dont support teams when they are winning, they cheer teams. Support comes from when the team is facing adversity and not doing well. Thats when supporters should be behind the team the most, when they actually need support.

FSU has a pretty good offense in my opinion. They ran all over SMU and Alabama made a concerted effort to not let them do that this time. They succeeded at stopping the run after the first couple drives but just didn't finish the one on one plays too often on the perimeter.
The reason FSU will be a 5-7 to 7-5 team is not the offense but the fact that their defense is awful.

Honestly think they can get at least 7 wins this season (Cen Ark, Virginia, Clem, BC, Pitt and NC State).
The remaining 3 games (Louisville, Miami and Florida) are tough but I expect them to be competitive in all except Miami.

I think a lot would just like us to not look like a clown show. You know having the correct amount of people on the field for a snap or maybe not having two guys with the same number on the field at the same time or may actually looking like we've practiced all our plays.
I don't like to lose but losing is part of everything in life. I just don't want us to look like we got no clue as to what we're doing.

The thing that has bothered me from the start about Grubb is the frequent disorganization at getting things set up and sent in. I understand the football reasoning for all the shifts, etc. The bottom line is still you’ve got to get a play set up and sent in.

Glad Grubb is mad. Whatever it take to motivate them. I want the coaches and players pissed off all year. And I don't want any of the internet praise seeping into their egos. I heard the DBs were mad about giving up so many yards. Good. Thats exactly how we will stay hungry.

Not sure 7-5 saves Norvell's job but maybe it gets him to "hey, get a new defensive staff" pass because they really don't have the money and will probably just have hired the new AD by January.
Not sure I'm wanting to start a head coach search unless I ABSOLUTELY have to in my first 90 days.

I like Grubb and have defended him quite a bit but the only person that actually quit on this team was him two years ago after accepting the job.

I have never booed an Alabama football team but I heard some boos, we sit near the student section. The thing is they were booing Grubb not the players.

I’m not crazy about Grubb overall, but, adjusted for NOTs, his unit has scored 41, 38 and 50 points through 3 games. That’s pretty damn good.

The frick is this? We are 3-0, averaging 47 ppg, outscoring people like 66-12 or something in the second half, and have our best rushing attack in years.
