Make your prediction. Mine: T Rob
I immediately dismissed the Durkin rumors, but what I bet they do is promote T Rob to DC and bring Durkin in to coach linebackers or something. That gives them an experienced defensive guy for gameplan and analysis , someone T Rob can lean on/sound things off of.

My guess is also T-Rob with a veteran position coach that goes to the booth.

Joe Kines. I didn’t like the way Michigan got away with that little inside trap.

Really going out on a limb?
I probably agree with T-Rob. However, it's becoming apparent to me that you need some game changers as OC/DC to be truly elite. I think we need to shoot for the fences. I just hope we don't do the same nonsense many other teams are doing and have co-defensive coordinators

T-Rob also, but isn’t Charlie Strong an analyst?

I think T-Rob has the inside track, but any talk of bringing Charles Kelly back since Prime let him go? Not necessarily as DC but as position coach or co coordinator?

Isn’t Kelly with freeze at Aub?

Robinson is the safe bet. My only concern is that he was DC at USCe years ago and was decent but not elite. Hopefully, he’s learned a lot between then and now.

I agree, but the Papa John's slogan comes to mind: Better ingredients, better pizza.
Talent at SC was decent, but not elite. Not the case at UA.

Just read the Auburn DC job just came open too. Robinson being an Auburn alum, I wonder if Freeze makes a run at him. Hmmm.

Auburn going for 5 DCs in 5 years.
I’m not sure what is worse our depth leaving via portal or coaches rotating every year.
Being a HC is turning into a real pain in the arse. It seems that it would mean HCs have less time with Xs & Os.
lol, Freeze said frick game planning for the Music City Bowl this year.

Freeze waited until the portal was closed for his players before the DC departure was announced.
Freeze went after Kelly and Trob last year but crashed and burned.

If T-Rob takes the Auburn job, my pick (not that CNS cares what any of us think) is Phil Parker, Iowa’s DC. He’s an older guy (63?) but he consistently fields a good to great defense with little to nothing to work with.
