Boz I can’t agree. With a few tweaks we win this game. Oats allows too much offensive freedom at times. Sherrell is launching too many threes. We kept the lead from Philon getting downhill. 2nd half we went away and I honestly don’t know what Nate’s plan was or even if he had one.
It’s a reason Sherrell is wide open
I wish Philon wouldn’t pass to these scrubs.
We need a center who can actually grab rebounds and not get blocked by guards every game.
I like Sherrell but we need fresh blood in the post next year. We wasted an all American season from Philon by not signing adequate post players.
He tries hard to not be a ball hog. But I wish he understood that he’s an alpha male on a team full of soft players.
If we keep the ball in philons hands we’re probably still up. There’s honestly no need playing Houston. He can’t dribble and his lazy defense started this run. Bethea could at least give us more wiggle at that position.
Whenever we go away from Philon this is the result
Barnes on Bama has been saying it for a long time.
Allen was the reason the Arizona game got away from us too.
And people were quick to say Allen was our best player earlier in the year. He makes some horrible decisions.
That’s a losing play. I’d bring in jemison so fast.
Philon has to be more aggressive. Make them foul you.
Let’s shock the world. I’m not afraid at all. We controlled Arizona for the first half and I feel they are better than Michigan. Just play our game and don’t rush our shots. Value each possession.
Our guys brought so much energy last night that it sucked the life out of Tech. Everyone played hard and looked like they were enjoying the moment. Let’s enjoy this win and take the fight to Michigan. We can beat anyone in the country when we’re on.
Did he give a reason that they didn’t care?
When did he play an accomplice to a murder?
The only thing that will make my Sunday better is watching the barn melt that they didn’t make it to the tournament.
I totally agree with you. It’s time to get rid of the hard hat mantra. He recruits choir boys in the post and tries to make them tough. Bowen, Williamson and Sherrell are easily the softest front court in the SEC. All are afraid of contact and all don’t know how to rebound. A big shooting the three is a plus but it shouldn’t be his lone reason for being on the team unless he’s a 40% three point shooter.

Mallette is playing too many minutes. His defense is not good and on offense he can’t create his own shot. I honestly feel he and Bethea should split minutes to provide an offensive spark. Calling timeouts and diving for loose balls is cool at times but at some point we need someone who can simply put the ball in the hoop.
