After you mentioned the Gator Bowl I too went back and started watching it. Buchner isn't bad at all. He can pass the ball and he's athletic. He's better than Simpson and Milroe at this time.

Bruh, you also started these threads:
1. CJ Stroud will be the first QB taken in the NFL Draft
2. Many won't agree but Bryce needs to stay in school. 1st round pick? I don't think so.
3. Our QB (BY) is overrated, has a noodle arm and defenses have adjusted

So now I'm going to trust your evaluation of Buchner?

Right now, all the other teams/fans are laughing at us. If he starts and we win a few games, they will start crying "TAMPERING!!!"

It's just hoping that Bama won't be good and beat the shite out of their teams like usual.

This. The program went 11-2 last year and won the Sugar Bowl. It's not like we cratered like Auburn and Texas A&M did. The Bama Obsession/Fatigue is real and noted.

Just watched highlights from Gator Bowl in which ND beat a much improved SCAR team.

1) Rees is a really good offensive coordinator. He took an under talented team and won by good play calling.

2) Buchner threw 3 int. Two of which were pick-6's.

Ay-yi-yi!

Yeah, and 4 starters on defense. So if you have starters opting out and "lots of reserves" as well, what are you left with?

It was only a few months ago this site was melting over the coordinator hires. Now everyone seems to have come around. I predict the same for this situation over the next few days.

There's always an overdramatic reaction to everything Alabama related. Whether it from some of our fans, rivals or the media that hates our program.

I am guessing that people are not going to come around on this one. The guy is a 55% passer that was 18-32 with 201 and 0 td's and 2 picks last year in a home loss to Marshall. I don't know how anyone spins this positive. I'm trying to see it as good but I also see his stats last year. If Bama is relying on this guy to save the season, we are in trouble.

Just have to wait for the crowd to settle on some “it could be worse”-type talk down! “The staff wanted this and they know what they’re doing” and “we’ve done well with subpar player/coach [X], so this’ll be fine too” will also do!
