Great and scary breakdown. Mateer had some bad reads with some missed open receivers. Hope D gets that cleaned up

Happened all season. We've also been greatly aided by other teams' drops. Of course, we're good guys, so we balance that out by dropping a ton of catchable balls ourselves.

And now they've lost both coordinators and replaced them with internal promotions. I think Aggie might've missed their very short window of opportunity lol

I can’t help but approach it like it’s still 2000-2006.

I hear you. That era is completely woven into the fabric of my sports fandom and hangs over it like a malignant specter

An absolute shitfest. I hope it goes to OT.
Sheridan, my dude, you seem like a good guy and I wish you well, but thank god lol
I browsed through the college football reddit and saw a lot of "Alabama will need a miracle to keep it within three scores"-type takes. You just have to take fan talk for what it is - 99% lobotomite thinking.

That said, Indiana is a solid team and we go through very long stretches of not being able to get out of our own way / being ranked #1 I'm frustrating play. Plenty of potential for this to go very badly. But I like our chances if Ty can miss a couple fewer wide open guys and dial in his accuracy a bit... or if our receivers can actually catch the ones that do get to them. That's just playing football against teams with a pulse in this era of the game though - hard as frick to predict what you're going to see.

Not sure what the deal is with him. But Keeley was awesome last night.

Yeah, that was good to see. He's crazy explosive. Hopefully part of an upward trajectory.

Indeed, may everyone playing tomorrow suffer mightily. I'll be watching from on high.
We got in their kickers head!!! Psychological warfare game WORKING!
The two minute warning is an abomination and needs to be eliminated immediately.
frick this is enough already. Let's get out of here lol
Oh hell yes lol. If you're going to blow your life up, make it a supernova. These (alleged) details are legendary.

That didn't take long.

Nicole has been on an absolute TEAR of dumbassery lately. Absolutely committed.
Pls don't share this with Oklahoma.

But if that's what the Grubbster is cooking up, then good on him, because that sounds like good eatin.

- Ty Simpson is good but not great. I think he’s concussed or skiddish from a hit he received earlier in the year that made him gun shy ever since.

Yeah, whatever the injury situation, he's definitely gotten skittish. Speculating here, but he also seems to be pressing - as in, overwhelming himself looking for things to go perfectly for our plays to be successful / for us to win.

Combine that with him having an extremely limited comfort zone with his target areas that results in him missing reads and holding for too long, him just not being great about going through his progressions in general (you can they've been trying to drill down on this with him, and he showed improvement for a while, but he seems to be going in reverse now), and him having touch and accuracy issues (even in his preferred target zones lately), and it's hard to get to what you have to assume our staff wants our identity to be. And that's on top of issues in other units, like everyone has noted lol.
Major implications here. And hard truths. Is it Cochran - and not Saban - that's the GOAT? Should it be Cochran who has a statue outside of the stadium and the field named after him?

I wish I had everyone’s excitement. But after watching this team the last 5 weeks or so, I don’t see anything to get excited about.

I hear you. I mean, I can't not want us to be in it, but if we continue on our current trajectory, we'll actually spend most of the game trying to throw passes backwards and that seems like a daunting viewing experience

No it’s not close to the worst the Clemson MC game was way worse. I’ve never seen a Bama team dominated like that. Tonight is definitely the second though since Nick Saban era

It's a tough call. That was brutal, but something about witnesses this unfathomably, mindblowingly horrific QB performance feels worse
This performance is on Ty, but, man, we don't have a receiver that can pull a tough catch down reliably
