Just have to wait for the crowd to settle on some “it could be worse”-type talk down! “The staff wanted this and they know what they’re doing” and “we’ve done well with subpar player/coach [X], so this’ll be fine too” will also do!
There will be at least one person who repeatedly points out that Joe Burrow was an overlooked backup at Ohio State.

Yes, statements like that

I’ve heard rumors (BOL) that Milroe has been shopping the portal any ways, and will likely enter the portal.

I'll wait and see what happens but it is possible. My opinion is that Ty Simpson has the better long term upside because he's the better passer of the two and has legitimate athleticism of his own. But I'm sure that I'll get bashed and people will still cry for Milroe to start

I certainly don’t disagree, I think Ty wins it regardless of who stays or goes. But if I had to trade Milroe for Buchner I wouldn’t.

Keep in mind that Simpson no longer has a thumb on his throwing hand.

No clue, but just playing devil's advocate here, IF this were true, man I wish someone could convince him to change positions instead — he's an incredibly dynamic athlete that could do really well for himself at another spot.
But I could understand if being a QB is all he wants to do.

My co-worker is a huge TN fan and was poking fun when he saw it. I told him Jalen may transfer and he said the same thing. Make him a TE and he would flourish in Reeces system.

No chance he would play tight end. Running back is more likely given his measurables. Even then he would have to dramatically improve ball security.

I have no problem with Saban going this route. At a minimum it tells every player on the team your position isn't guaranteed and no one is above reproach.
It's a clear message to the QBs to get their shite together because ALL of them have things to improve on.

Why not WR? He's a very similar size to Anquan Boldin, who moved from QB to WR, but Milroe seems to be much faster.

He should change to LB like Henry.

I can see that. I also see some of those same traits in Kendrick Law, who is one of my favorite players on the entire team.

It's a pride thing for QB's, especially in college. Basically saying they're not good enough at their desired position and you may as well learn something else. When the time comes to go to the NFL, I'm sure a lot of gifted athletic QB's like Milroe had wished they'd done things differently.

Shaft and Benny come on with that shite.

Jerick McKinnon, who plays RB in the NFL, was a college QB. He's been in the league for a while now and just won a Super Bowl with the Chiefs.
