next season. From the film I have seen Tua can throw the deep ball and is very accurate. Thoughts?

I predict after A-day he will be the new fan favorite.

He is going to enroll early (as did Jalen); and I believe he will push for early PT. Jalen either gets more accurate and better at reading the field or Tua plays more and more. Jalen still misses wide open guys almost every play and mostly doesn't put the ball in the right place. (Eason and Bentley)
Yet to see how Tua stands in under pressure of SEC and big time pass rushers, but we will see. Saban has told Tua's dad that if he is better, he will play regardless of the outcome of this year. I am still wondering about the other 2 Qb's transfer status as of end of year.

The ? Is will the position be open in the spring or will jalen be #1. I think it will be open, and I think thats what the coaches are telling tua.

I have been a Bama fan since around 1995 and in that time I honestly think AJ McCarron is the only qb that was never in danger of losing the job once he got it and was the fan favorite from start to finish. I guess maybe Brodie too, but he was fricking injured all the time.

We could have Tom Brady at QB and our fanbase would complain.

I hope that kid comes through with his commitment. I worry because Hurts is a true freshman, but if Tua is a true dual threat, as in a consistently accurate passing qb that can also run, he'll have a chance. The coaches have proven that the best guy will play, regardless of year.

I think Tua will push him hard, but I think Jalen busts his arse in the off season and improves his throwing and keeps the starting job. Tua redshirts.

I have played in bands since I was a teenager, and have suggested for a band name, a few times, 440. I like the name because it's generally pitch for standard tuning, and....well.... it's 20 minutes after 420.

Maybe I don't understand the read option but I was at the game last night and I can't tell you how many times Hurts pulls the ball with a running lane 4 ft wide up the middle and Harris runs through untouched. Maybe the option is being taken away from him and he is told to pull it around the end but that defense atecthat okaybup all night. This Auburn defense is as fast as LSU and will destroy him if he can't figure this out.

PLAN A:

Year 1 Redshirt: Apprentice behind Jalen4Heisman

Year 2 Back Up: Sees much action in mop up duty as Hurts defends his Heisman

Year 3 Starter: Lead the Tide to glory and helps hone the yet to be named #1 HS recruit behind him

Jesus H. Christ... This B.S. is getting ridiculous. You would think we are a 5-4 team with Etling or some other SEC scrub at QB.

If we win a title this year, its gonna be tough to unseat Hurts....but I like Saban running an NFL model in that you have to compete and earn your spot every year, every game, every practice.

I think people are seriously underestimating the jump most kids make between true freshman and sophomore year. With that said, obviously Tua will show up ready to roll and get every shot.

going to be tough to unseat hurts just from them evaluating him in practice alone.

People don't understand how hard it is to play QB in the SEC, which is something that I thought was extremely obvious to anyone who has any kind of knowledge at all about football. The fact is is that we probably have two losses, at least.
