Wonder if the jump pass would have been a good option here. Run up the gut then stop and toss it over their heads.

Wow I just watched it again from the other angle and the right guard runs around the line completely free with no one from michigan to block.

He's obviously a good player or else he wouldn't be recruited to play at Bama. I just can't figure out why he kept making the same error over and over. There has to be a reason, that makes sense, that we just aren't aware of? You don't get to play on an elite college team *and start* if you aren't elite.

Hell, the trick play where their QB just threw the ball up while getting pounded by Turner was ridiculous. And fricking OF COURSE the dude was wide arse open.
Oh yeah there were like 3 busted plays in the game that Mich capitalized on. Usually don't see that kind of mishap by our D...let alone three times in one game our opponent had someone absolutely wide open. So open I could have passed them the ball.

Workaholics rarely retire at the age that the average person would. I would be shocked if he decided to hang it up. He's been working probably 12-15 hours per day for what, 30-40 years? Pretty sure he'd go stir crazy if he all sudden had tons of free time.

They also had some bad plays that changed diretion of game. the muffed punt catch gave us momentum.
I havent seen this mentioned anywhere, and I could be wrong but that pass that we got a fingertip on but the their receiver still caught - I think the fingertip actually slowed the ball down just a smidge and made it catchable - otherwise I think it would have sailed over their receivers head. He barely pulled it down as is.

Thanks, no wonder I couldn't find anything when I searched Bond injury.
Is Bond hurt?

I think it was him...looked like his knee bent wrong way during overtime. I haven't seen any update on him anywhere.

You willing to leave the board forever if that doesn't happen?

The difference between Bama being in the playoffs and not being in the playoffs are a freakish Hail Mary, a dropped punt, and a season ending injury for Jordan Travis. None of that was coached (unless the dude who hit Travis was a Bama transfer, I didn’t see it happen).
There's not enough space on this page for me to write out all the things LSU would have to do better to make it into the playoff.

Jan 3, 2007 the narrative regarding Saban:
LSU Fans - "Saban will leave your program within a couple seasons."
January 8, 2010 narrative...:
LSU Fans - "He's gone for sure now!"
March 2013:
LSU Fans - "It's happening! Saban to Texas!"
There's actually too many to list out...all the times LSU fans got their hopes up and ultimately got trolled.

That forum used to be pretty civil and friendly. I posted my prediction for the playoff selection the night before it was revealed, and of course included Bama, but was downvoted into oblivion, plus some fella started arguing with me. I respectfully replied with my reasoning, and he replied relatively in-kind.
The next day when the selections were announced, and I was right, I replied to his last response with a smiley. Dude comes back and writes a 3 paragraph diatribe about how it was bought and paid for and that I can "get f**ked" and all this negative mess. lol

re: Could you imagine this place if LSU was in FSU’s position

LSU's SOS was 28th, per Sagarin; in the event of being undefeated and playing Georgia in the SECCG that number would be even higher - maybe even in the teens.
In the case of this specific season, it would include wins over the ACC Champ (a now 1-loss FSU) and Georgia along with their own SEC championship.
The two scenarios aren't even remotely comparable.
Would have to re-engineer their entire season to drop them down into the 50's SOS. The SECCG alone would have to be someone of the equivalent might that Louisville brings to the table...perhaps SMU or Arizona would suffice?
