The team is better off without players solely chasing bags. Ohio State, Texas and Ole Miss are going to learn from Texas A&M that you can’t build a cohesive team around 85 entitled shits.

This. Of course you want talented players but if they don GAS about playing for Alabama and love the program then to hell with them. People like that will destroy the chemistry in the locker room.

Yep. This is about Coach Saban and I get it. Fans are going to have to wrap their minds around the fact that most of these kids especially out of state kids don’t fall in love with Alabama or LSU or Georgia, it’s usually a coach. Relationships matter. Downs came from money. His parents aren’t some poor people who need money. Some of these kids will chase the money but I honestly don’t get that from Downs.
