Seriously.

Just read through this thread see the level of stupidity is just smh. So much hate for that kid.

These guys are mad that the kid is conceding and won't play unless there is an injury. How is that a bad thing? His teammates would support that because every single one of them would do the same or worse like Blake Barnett and just abandon the program.

Like serious some of you are morons. Downvote away!

Preach

Keeping Jalen protects Bama from this and gives us options if Tua goes down. It also allows Jalen to help by probably running scout team during practices. At least this way both parties get something.

Houston would be a good fit for him or even New-Braska.

Agree... Houston is his home. But young men change their mind like the wind changes directions. He may want to stay, you never can tell.

But he’ll probably be successful in whatever he decides. He may follow his fathers footsteps and become a coach.

I’m sure Jalen will always be welcome back to the university to be honored another 10 to 20 yrs from now. I would think that door will always be opened for him.

We're lucky to have someone as smart as yourself to provide direction.

Suttles also reported that Jalen would start the first game.

Like I say, I used to really like and respect Jalen and I was very much on his side in many ways. Then slowly I began to see another side of him and his family once the position started to slip away from him. First his overbearing, helicopter-dad tried to put the squeeze on Saban with his "Free Agent" spiel. Then that garbage interview in August where Jalen got all snowflakey about not being asked about his feelings. Then he has a team meeting to tell guys that he's gotta do what's best for him - something that did not go over well with other players. Then his parents complaining about his lack of playing time and types of plays called while he was in the game. Then they negotiate a redshirt for him. The parents can't do that without the consent of the player.

Yeah, that stuff does begin to add up in one's mind and in one's perception of a person. I have indeed changed my mind about Jalen. 100% for the team is not 100% when you whine and moan, hold secretive team meetings with veiled comments and try to embarrass the coaches in a pre-season interview all because you are losing the job.

In 2016 after the Ole Miss game I told people that Jalen was not a good passer. People reacted the same way then. Said I was crazy or unappreciative of all the great skills Jalen brought, blah, blah, blah. I saw then that the guy's inability to throw was likely to be problematic down the road. "Oh, no. GFY!" "We winnin' the 'ship with Jalen."

How do they feel about Hurts as a QB now? Here is a little sample of what people think now about him -
"There is no play that Jalen can make better than Tua."
"Play Mac. He's better than Jalen."
"I'll drink draino if Jalen trots out for the first snap."

In due time, I believe that the rest of the "Jalen is holy" crowd will have to see the guy for who he really is. Even Marquis Maze made a veiled reference when noting that on a bad throw Tua doesn't just stare over at the sideline. He looks at his receiver and says, "That's on me."

Folks need to wake up.

With all due respect there is No Way #2 will direct the scout team for those guys get bounced around and good. If your deal is you wish to take your skills to another gig then taking an injury with you isn't apart of your plan.

QB's are not bounced around even if scout team. Plus they don't do a lot of full take downs now that the season has started. More like thud hits.

Assuming this is true, Jones would have to start getting more reps since he would then be the backup

If Tua fell out of bed this morning and twisted his ankle, Mac should start and play the whole game.

I agree. I think a conservative offense with Mac is better than what we get with Hurts in the game.

We really do have some fricking trashy fans. This is the kind of shite you expect from LSU fans. We're supposed to be better than that.

Anyone who would shite on a kid who has been 100% Bama is a fricking loser.

This. If Saban and his teammates are good with it, who really gives a shite what some anonymous twenty and thirty something year olds behind their keyboards think?

We should be able to win today if we start Pierschbacher at QB. If Jalen is gone, Mac needs the reps with the whole playbook, not just the 4th quarter mop up package.

Only reason I support Mac playing is so we can redshirt Taulia next season.

Besides that I believe out fans are serious acting like 7SU with Burrow and overeating this kid. All he has shown so far is he is competent against reserve players.

You're assuming Mac is going to stick around past this season. Maybe he will, but you almost can't count on it.

TV just said that Saban told them yesterday this Jalen would play today. No reason to do that if he is redshirting.

agree...if he transfers he will be happy to play one year as a starter somewhere else. I still am not sure he will transfer.

Yet the piece of human shite LovetheLord comes back today and doubles down on the idiocy. There's no place for a loser like him in the Bama fan base.
