LSU revealed they will wear alternate uniforms for Saturday's season finale vs. Oklahoma at Tiger Stadium.

The look will be purple jerseys, white pants, and white helmets:

What do you think?

We've worn alternates more than our traditional uniform this season. They're killing the tradition of our gold-white-gold.

We have the best looking uniforms in college football. Why do they feel the need to mess with it every week? Do they not understand branding?

The players come to LSU to play in different uniform combos. It's simple

Why can’t we just play LSU football in our regular uniform? As far as all these alternates go this is right up there with the best but I still rather our regular uniforms.

All about the money. They’re trying to sell jerseys. 2-3 weeks ago, you’d never have seen a gold jersey in stores. Maybe online, but nobody was stocking them. This week, 3 racks full of gold jerseys in Academy.

I miss the years when we only wore alternative uniforms 1 time instead of 4. Part of the brand is that we wear white for SEC games. Alt unis are for the Nicholls game, not SEC play.

100th anniversary of TigerStadium, and we crap all over a great tradition with these pathetic looking combos.

Why does it feel like we’ve had “alternate” uniforms more than our regular ones this season? This is ridiculous. Also these suck.

why would we do this against a school like OU? We should both be doing the 2003 look in the dome.

Not a fan of the white helmet. Feel the identity of the LSU uniform is the gold helmet. Baseball we love our gold jerseys. Football you flip through channels and see those helmets and know who is on TV. Many teams have white helmets but that shade of gold is all LSU.

I’m pretty sure the players like the alternatives. How many photos from recruit visits do you see in the traditional unis?

This ain’t about you and me. And that’s okay — I’m not going to lose any sleep.

Right? The recruits love this stuff…it’s why Alabama and Georgia seem to get all the top classes!

Exactly, Cajun. "The recruits love it" is a manufactured lie. Penn State, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Texas...still great, and tradition means something.

Desperate attempt to get people to care. We don't.
