"Old Tennessee"
Always loved this song, and Fogelberg has always been one of my favorites. First time I saw him was a solo acoustic tour at the PMAC (then the LSU Assembly Center) WAY back in 1983...simply amazing--just him, a guitar, and a piano. The dude was a virtuoso on both instruments.
Years later I came across an unused backstage pass/sticker for this tour on eBay and grabbed it.

Also surprisingly not mentioned, but this board has a lot of haters out there...

IMHO this is a GREAT movie. Funny, dramatic, emotional, and all four leads are superb. Add in the Terry Gilliam touch and it's a winner.
IDK, but it looks like a fun one.

Everyone is saying this movie is not rewatchable and I think this is the Nolan movie I have seen the most. Absolutely love it
I second that. Amazing film with so many great action-packed, tense, and even emotional moments.
New Merch...yyyeeeessssss.

Let'em roast a bit longer.

Hey, it was filmed at LSU, so you can always say you watched it for that reason. Hey! There's the lakes! That's the old natatorium!
(And it was entertaining...)

I ran an intramural basketball league at my kids school for two years after being "voluntold" the same way. That's what you get for staying late at parents' club meetings and hanging with the brass.

Hannah Einbender is so unlikeable, both IRL and her character, that Jean Smart barely makes up for her.
I get it, but for the most part I still really like their up and down relationship. If you REALLY want to dislike Einbender watch her own stand up special. I couldn't finish it. It's like an hour of the worst parts of her character on the show.

A couple of these songs have been mentioned, but this live medley by Steve Goodman is amazing and hilarious. He starts by asking for a cowboy hat before playing "You Never Even Called Me by My Name", but instead is given a motorcycle helmet so proceeds to play "Born to be Wild". In true Steve Goodman form, motoring songs morph into "dead girl songs".
Dentist here (pseudo-doctor, as my neurosurgeon brother calls me). Any of those "basic sciences", like organic chemisty (which I took) build your knowledge of the carbon-based chemical foundations of the human body and its processes and functions. Without all that pain in the arse studying much of the stuff you learned later wouldn't make as much sense, from how the body works, how drugs work and are designed, etc. etc.
So while you might not use it literally, like balancing chemical equations, it's still indispensable as a building block of things to come.
Sorry to get so serious...

RIP, Jimmy Buffet.
Great song. The lyrics get increasingly serious on the consequences of getting drunk and making life decisions:
Verse 1: Wake up with a tattoo
Verse 2: Wake up with a spouse (Vegas Elvis Wedding Chapel Style)
Verse 3: Comes 9 months later.
