Or are a few elite *prospects* getting paid sometimes what they are worth and sometimes well above what they are worth while the merely great players continue to get crumbs?

I mean…on what planet is a kid who hasn’t even played a down of college football worth an 8 figure deal? Meanwhile, proven seniors who are merely great journeymen can’t sniff the field and get a relative pittance.

You do realize that batting average is a form of analytics, right? When Skip says on national tv that 66% of swings at 3-2 count pitches will be fouled off…that’s analytics too.

The only thing that’s changed is that the analytics of today are more complete and more detailed.
