They are really good. They will probably finish 11-1 or 10-2 and be in the ACC CG and make the playoffs.

Apparently Woodland passed him up on the depth chart.
Sloan's play calling was fine last night. He game planned for Nuss to get the ball out quick to help the OL and that's exactly what happened. He never abandoned the run, just got more creative with how to do with Thomas and Nuss having significant plays. The TD play was an excellent call to isolate Green on Terrell and exploit the 8-inch height difference.

If LSU played a clean game without the costly penalties (not Sloan's fault), Anderson probably would've had a long TD and if the refs didn't botch the Brown TD play, LSU walks out of Clemson with 30+ points, 450ish passing and 130-140 on the ground.

The only time I questioned a decision/play was the 4th down before half. 99% of the LSU fanbase were probably screaming to kick the FG at that point.
He will not end up at Tennessee either. There's too much $$ moving right now and LSU isn't desperate for a WR.

Gut feeling is Ole Miss will be poo this year and then realize they need to start buying talent again and they will drop a bag to keep him home.
That whole year was like that. The best is the fact that when they did the team vs. team events against OU and Clemson in the playoffs, our defense was talking crap about how small the other guys were pretty much right to their face.

The running game is will go how the OG play goes. If we can figure out our starters at OG and get solid play at those 2 spots, we'll be fine.
He was running with the 3rd team defense with the youngest Weeks brother.

All the projected Starters are inexperienced and are absolutely being down coached by Sylvester.

The starters right now are projected to be Adams, Chester, Moore, Thompson, Davis.

Adams played well last year, Chester started last year (albeit at C), Moore was an All-ACC center, Thompson was an All-B1G OL, and Davis is brand new.

What are you talking about in your post?
The expectations were different back then. We didn't come into the season thinking natty. We came into the season just wanting to be good and play in a decent bowl game. Hell, the best we had done recently was 10-3 a couple years prior with Rohan and winning the Sugar Bowl against Illinois.

LSU, by all accounts, should've lost to UGA in the regular season in 2003. The stat line was nasty, but that game had magic that year. It was one of the loudest games I've ever been at and it was constant. I remember when UGA tied it up with a screen pass that the WR took 90+ yds and the entire stadium went silent for about 30 seconds and then when nuts chanting for LSU and you could see the team go from being demoralized to jumping up and down and swinging towels. You can kind of see it when they come back from commercial break and Verne Lundquist makes a comment. Then Mauck to Green in the corner of the endzone and the rest is history. It's the first time I ever saw Saban run over to the student section after the game and give us a thumbs up. It was a special game and in my opinion, the tipping point for LSU to get back to being a consistent threat for a natty. Sometimes you have to win ugly and LSU wasn't readily able to do that in the years prior to 2003.

This dude can coach the hell out of his teams and I thought in state talent pool would help him get to the next level. But he's 17-7 in SEC play which is way worse.

Consider how Coach O left the program and then consider that the NIL world blew up overnight right in the middle of all this. I would say, I think CBK has shown that he is learning on the fly how to manage 1) LSU's program and 2) the NIL world. He's corrected almost every mess up he's had in coaching personnel, recruiting, and NIL.
Been a fan since I got to LSU in 99, and my favorite players to watch were the ones that you knew something great could happen at any moment. In order, my top 3 are:

Tyrann Mathieu - Whether on defense or ST, he always made huge game changing plays. Miles said it best when he said Tyrann is 5 foot 9 with a 7 foot tall shadow.

Leonard Fournette - You knew you were going to see him either break a long one or run someone over during the game and everyone in the world knew he was getting the ball.

Joe Burrow - The Houdini act in the packet on some of the plays he made was awesome to watch. He's the greatest college QB I've ever seen.

Jonathan Giles.

Transferred in from Texas Tech and was given #7 because of how electric he was. 6 games in he asked Coach O to go back to his old number. His stats were 10 catches for 59 yds.

Maason was on the Freshman All-SEC and Freshman All-American teams even after a leg injury his freshman year. Then he misses his last season after tearing his ACL in the first game. I would say he underperformed the massive expectations people had, but he wasn't a full on bust.

Braswell. Is his defense that great to where he starts over Reaves from here on out

We will need him before it's all over.
At least they got a no-hitter against Murray St.
Everyone was struggling with the weather yesterday. It was hot and muggy as hell.

Jay tried to blow his goodwill from the lineup by trotting Evans back out for the 8th inning.

I think he did that so Evans could get his standing ovation

10 months away.....nothing that happens right now matters

LSU's offensive 'system' did not commit to utilizing the talent this young man and another very talent receiver had. Many similarities between him and Trey Quinn. Trey Quinn left LSU and went on to become an All-American.

Both got on the field as underclassmen. Quinn couldn't catch the ball for some reason when he got on the field. Bech was one of the leading receivers his freshman year, but he got passed by Nabers and BTJ who were both better. I wish he would've stayed, but when Howard left, it was a matter of time unfortunately.
