Defense is better without Gaye

He's not going to play in the bowl game, but he's going to play in the senior bowl? How does that game mean more? And I don't want to hear "scouts will be there". Scouts are everywhere, and there is such a ting as film if anyone wants to see him play.

You do realize that Senior bowl coaching staffs are made of NFL coaches and their NFL staffs? I'm the biggest LSU homer there is but going play a meaningless bowl game against purdue or going play a Senior bowl game against top NFL prospects in front of an NFL staff. Not much of a decision. If LSU was in the playoff then different story.

Bowl season will just be exhibitions and I think eventually the W/L won't even end up on a teams final record.

He looked better last year. I hardly heard his name called this year. He's missing a good chance to remind folks of what he is capable of.

What if you flop in the NFL? Wouldn't you have liked to have played in as many games as you could have in college...more games, more fun, more memories? What if Fournette wouldn't have played in that Auburn game...what we all would have missed? Huh?

Has anyone ever actually missed a shot at the NFL due to getting injured in a bowl game?

That South Carolina running back that blew out a knee in the bowl game……

Tommy, if you're thinking of Marcus Lattimore that was a regular season injury against the Vols.

No. Some have been injured but still had a chance to play. It cost them money as their draft status fell however.

I think I’ll be putting money on Purdue to cover the spread at this point, bc by gameday we might only have 30 players suit up.

Purdues starting QB opted out. We arent the only team this happens to

Sad because I liked him. Never thought he would do this. Disappointed in him.

I like Gaye but what a bad decision. Do these guys at least not get their NIL $? As an employer, you pay for positive endorsement and then end up with the opposite.

He wasn’t really any good anyways. Good for the team moving into next year, one of the young guys will get some playing time.

Weird move for someone is destined for a practice squad as an UDFA.

Bad move by Gay. He needs more positive tape. He would benefit from playing and he would not get injured so he doesn’t need to worry about that

Someone asked a question of older folks on Tiger Rant if the game was more interesting years ago. Absolutely, with the portal, nil, opting out nobody really knows who will stay on the team any longer. I really listened in those days to John Ferguson on WWL call the game with players like JoeLabruzzo, Tommy Casanova, Burt Jones. You knew who the team was until they graduated.

I'm one of the "older folks" and yes, I remember the day with it was about LSU and not about ME, ME, ME. Oh well, those days are gone and I guess we make the best of what's here now, which is a bunch of me, myself and I's.

Football was more fun before all the individualism came into a team sport. Football is supposedly a team sport but is becoming more ruined day by day. Sooner or later fans are going to tire of the BS and many schools will drop Football.

Bowl games should be an exhibition leading into the next year. Play young players, red shits, etc. no reason to be life/death about a bowl game.

I will always be interested in watching our LSU Tigers play, good luck to the Tigers that’s moving on, GOD bless them. That being said I’m looking forward to the guys that will take their place, next man up, we get a peek at the future studs, how you can’t be excited about that.
