My wife and I were living in Houston at the time and drove over for the game... I can't remember how we got the tickets, but we were 1st row between the plate and the 1st base dugout. I can just remember being so happy to win and beat the Ags.

THat was true of Michigan's championship team last year.. we have to get back to having seasoned older players down in the trenches but I doubt LSU ever will keep players that long. We recruit a different kind of player
Loosing Perkins and the "we gotta worry about multiple people coming at us" factor certainly allowed teams to focus on stopping Swinson.
What makes a dipshit retard a dipshit retard is that they never look back with regret.
Also you can say to your other young Olinemen that we will do the same to help your chances with the league when it is your time... so you should stay.

Totally agree... let's see what Toviano can do!

Not at all.... I'd ride with what we have unless a real deal outstanding number one comes available. Spears and Toviano/Rogers can do the job I am confident.

Yet Clemson is the only team that looked like it could complete.
Always was a guard, and that is the best he can hope for.

That's the best he can hope for.... couldn't move well when he was here, can't move well there. Top heavy now. You can get too big at tackle to be effective.
Good luck to him though. That was embarrassing.

I think this is the answer... LSU would have scored a lot more points... Tennessee's tackles, including the guy that thought he should be our left tackle, could not block their ends. Ours could have. But they would have hung 60 on our defense. So a lot more entertaining game!

Nuss in a poor thrower when rolling out... on the move. His accuracy suffers greatly. In fact, this is one of two things he really needs to work on before next year (IMO)... the other being willing to run to get that 1 - 2 yards and a first down about 3 times a game.
We couldn't get a yard versus USC when Dellinger was in.... personnel always matter, but that is where the rest has to make up for it.
Thread is on run game blocking... try to focus.
Someone posted a run play of TDP from when he set the record in the single game rushing record in the 2021 Florida game... The blocking in that play was nothing like what I saw this year.... Saying "oh we had a bad center, there's your answer" does not cut it in the run game. For most of the year we had what we expected to be superior, experienced players. There are many reasons why we could not run from Game 1 on and no stone should be left unturned to find them.

Root Cause Investigation - O Line
Posted by TooSober on 12/18/24 at 2:27 pm
In business or industry, when something does not go as planned, we do a root cause investigation. Surely some type of forensic study would be done to determine what happened to the expectation, partially fed to us by the coaches, that the O_line would be dominate this year.
Are experts (Pro O-line coaches, for example) brought in to critique coaching, techniques, scheme, etc??? What other deep dives would be done, and who would lead these? Please tell me something.

I regret I have but one like to give.....

We had new coordinators on both sides of the ball this year. That will not be the case (baring some big surprise) this coming year. I do not worry about a slow start against Clemson.
Yes trust in Bo.... but I do agree.... if you can get a quality DT you indeed do so.
