Yes he’s a Barner but he generally plays it very straight in these Monday morning recaps.

His last three words scream volumes though and when you get down to it, they describe something a team needs to have as much as 22 5-stars and it’s absolutely in line with something that Coach Bryant once said. That you are going to have moments when nothing is right, nothing is working, everything is caca, but you still have to find a way to get it done.

Another comeback win. QB helped find a way. Missed a few throws. QB designed runs helped. Play action opened some things up. Made plays on scramble drill. OL had some whiffs in the run game. TEs back to being super physical. Counter play had good success. Had a free runner get through. RPO game solid. Off on a few of the reads. OL still stepping on each other a bit. 79 strained. Showed good fight. Had a run stunt hit against them. Liked the picked movement. 3 was dynamic in open field. Run thru hurt in short yardage. 5 had a big day n def, pick 6, PD, solo tackles. Added to run game late with extra defenders. 88 played well vs run. Rush lanes off at times. Forced some miss reads in zone read game. 90 good pass rush reps, good hands vs run. 7 added pressure from depth. 14 looked great on DL, power, twitch! Found a way.

And I'm in full agreement that there are games when nothing is going right, and the team has to find a way to win. But it shouldn't be that way as many times as it is with us. It happens too often and it got us in the Tennessee game and almost got us in the aTm game. The sloppiness and dysfunction that the team routinely plays with is not good and in my opinion, is a coaching issue. Yes, you're going to have games HERE AND THERE that just don't go right. But when it gets to be routine, then there's a problem. Over the last two and half seasons, those types of games have been too frequent and we teeter too much on the edge and at some point it will get us, and we're going to look up and be 8-4 or 7-5. You can't play that close to the fire that often and not ultimately get burnt more times than you don't.

It honestly looks like without RCW theres not much separation being made by the receivers. Meadows and Ced arent running routes well enough.

Rico literally saved us against Aggie

Deboer said after the Tennessee loss they were going to have to approach every game like it was a playoff game. So you're going to take every game serious and didnt take the Tennessee game seriously? Did they think the Tennessee game was a gimme?

The players bought into UT being average. Everyone is online these days you know they all saw it.

Correct, we weren't getting separation on long developing routes, so why not change the passing plays we're calling and go to formations and routes that are designed to get players open, rather than depending on their individual talent? I just don't see any attempt by Grubb to do something different when what he's trying to do isn't working.

Hopefully its a valuable lesson learned just seems Deboer has an issue getting the team prepared. Sure hope they take auburn seriously.

Agree 1,000%

And we have some stuff that must be fixed, bottom line.

But we were dead meat … dead meat … in that game even when the score was close and we pulled it out of our asses.

I’m not going to sunshine pump. Go back and look at my posts Saturday, I was as angry as anyone. I’m just choosing to think maybe it registered with some people and I think we are going to get our people back and with an extra week to prepare we going to beat LSU’s arse. They are not that good and Lane Kiffin isn’t God.

Everyone is inconsistent week to week now. I'm not sure how much is our staff and how much is just how things are now. UGA lost to damn Auburn at home last week!

Who is consistently good each week? No one.

Morgan has been hurt.

Meadows is slow off the snap.

Without RCW to take the focus even if he isn’t putting up numbers the windows are way too tight with our current group and frankly KR hasn’t been anywhere close to as consistent with his accuracy until the 2H of A&M.

Some of it is also questionable route trees that take too long to develop but I’m not sure we’re particularly deep at WR if Morgan and Rogers aren’t going to be threats this year.

It’s clear that the combo of RCW and Brooks opened things up. Since then it seems teams are making sure they have a deep safety over Brooks and not worried about anyone else. Scott showing he could get open and make contested catches was huge. However he’s never going to be a take the top off threat.
