We all saw it VS UK, Carolina and Miss State. Saw glimpses vs UGA before RCW went down and refs went full retard. Just having a healthy Williams lined up wide is a 20 pt difference over 4 qtrs. Hopefully this next game is the 60 minute explosion we all know they are very capable of producing. Come on Keelon, show the world what you really are.

RCW and the center were on the practice video provided by the school.

Yes and no.

We have had periods where we look incredible. But even healthy we also saw the 1st half vs Kentucky. 1st half vs FSU. Etc.

The team has some real Jeckyl and Hyde mentality. Did last year too. Some of that is just the nature of football and momentum but we seem to suffer from it even more when you look at some of our more puzzling losses

The teams we were playing had some great players too. You can't win every down

There are no puzzling loses. UT beat us cause we were beat up and exhausted. UGA beat us because of talent and bad calls. Struggling against AM while we were injured and tired showed a lot of grit. 8 straight games and we still found a way to win against a talented team. My point is that a healthy rested Bama is as good as anyone right now. We will see.

Other teams are beat up too lol. That’s football.

Theres zero excuse for how we played in that game. And there are puzzling losses over the last 2 years.

I know other teams are beat up but we had 4-5 starters playing on Def and missing our starting Center and LG, RCW, hobbled 13 and 40. We needed a break badly. I hate we have no room to spare but it’s where we are.

I agree with you that injuries played a part but it shouldn’t have caused us to go 2011 LSU in the championship

That’s consistently been my gripe. Losses are going to happen but can we stop penciling in 3 games a year where it looks like we forgot what football is?

I'd probably say there are 8 or so teams capable of beating three other top teams in a row to win the NC this year -- completely depending on healthy starters -- without a consistently dominant one in bunch.

Alabama is certainly in that group.

This year, we are not a consistent top 5 team and I lay most the blame on Grubb for this.

Grubb over-thinks and gets cute. But his biggest issue is there is something he is lacking in playcalling. Its like he just calls plays, not looking at what the defense is giving him. This is most evident when defense bring a heavy rush. This leads to placing his QBs and the OL in a bad situation. Then the whole O gets rattled which increases offensive problems.

The thing that gets me the most is when his offense is rattled and collapsing, he just sits in the press box. He needs to get on the sideline and get in some ear-holes to help them. Instead he just sits in the press box calling the same shiit over and over. And ultimately this is Deboer fault.

theres no rhythm to grubbs play calling, at all. if you watch the best playcallers theres a beautiful rhythm to their calls. you can tell when they're setting stuff up and you can tell when they hit their stride. with grubb, it's a perpetual state of head scratching. or maybe a perpetual state of, wut...

vs Tn we lost a couple of players in the first half vs Tn which put us with about 8 starters OUT. And a tight end with a broken arm. Kirby Smart said before the Auburn game that his players were mentally and physically exhausted. That was their game of the year vs Ala, then the next week we played at Tn in their game of the year, way more beat up than Ga.

Getting ZB, Green, Hill, and Umeozulu back will be HUGE for this team.

Getting Racin and RCW back will also be huge.

Also what about AK Dear? He was slated to be RB 1 before his injury. Might be nice to get him back as well.

We've been playing down a lot of key pieces.

I don't think this is the case. The way Clint Lamb put it was he had some splash plays and onlookers saw that, but that nobody in the building would have told you he was pushing for RB1. I think he was on the path to carries and being in the rotation, but RB1 wasn't in the cards.

He'll be at MSU next season I suspect

Final score is all that matters. Otherwise, we should take into consideration that Louisiana Tech had LSU on the ropes in the first half (LSU also lost to Kentucky). Vandy (without their starting QB) had UGA on the ropes in the first half (and UGA lost to Auburn and should have lost to us).

It is all that matters until it’s indicative of problems you don’t fix that eventually cause you to lose.

2023 comes to mind. “Wow our center keeps snapping the ball like absolute shite and our Quarterback doesn’t really seem to have a grasp of what to do outside of his first read and running”

“Oh well. We’re winning. We even win when it’s 4-31!”

“Whoops…our center still can’t snap the ball and our offense looks like shite and now we’re eliminated and Saban is retiring”

In this instance, we go long stretches without being able to run the ball consistently. That was still true in the UK and FSU games but were masked by long runs that make the average look better.

We should be able to fairly regularly pick up 4-5 on the ground but more often it’s 0-1-0-3-2-then randomly 48. That’s not good because you’re constantly behind the chains. And with 2 years of evidence and a new oline coach it seems like it’s a scheme/playcalling problem.

If we keep winning I’ll gladly eat crow and shut the frick up. I’d love nothing more than us to win a Natty and Grubb tell me to frick myself on National TV while holding the trophy.

Here's my biggest issue.
When we get a sudden change from the defense. We have momentum. THATS when he runs up the middle for a loss of 1.
I want us taking a shot immediately following our Defense giving us a turnover.
