After it became clear our defense was dominating and we jumped up, the only way we lose is if we put the ball at risk on our side of the field. Anyone that watches CKS’ brand of GA football knew that after the scoop and score it was going to be murderball the rest of the game. CKS is as good as it gets in figuring opponents possessions needed to win and the time left to do it. In that context, he’d much rather force an opponent to eat 8 mins driving the length of the field in a 3 possession game than risk a short field turnover.

I don't recall having seen him smiling and high-fiving like he was doing yesterday. The game clearly went as he wanted it to.

Quitting? The hell you reading that?

No one's quitting. I'm saying when an offense puts points on us, can we answer? If it was just 1 game it would have been different. It's been two in a row.

That's not an anomaly, that's a pattern.

I just feel like offense should be firing on all cylinders this late in the year. Hopefully we can continue to get better and take it to ole piss. I'm a dawg through had through. Our offense has just looked pedestrian as of late

I'm "saying" precisely what I stated. Gunner was 13/23 for 56% and 101 yards. You figure it out.

I went back and watched the Sugar Bowl from last year. Going conservative with the lead cost us the game as it did with the Auburn game this year. Sometimes it's successful. Sometime's it's not. It probably won't be with Ole Miss....again. This goes back to Bobo, but that ain't changing. We will see what happens.

I'm more inclined to believe it's partially a Bobo problem based on the play calls. IMHO he has an offensive Porche, but drives it like a 60 year old Ford farm truck. And no, I'm not inclined to get into a Bobo debate. It's just my opinion and ain't gonna change. If you don't care for it: tuff.

I know exactly what you mean by that and you are correct, however during the Monken years we would keep pouring it on till time expired. The HC is the same, so the explanation doesn't lie there.

And that's the gist of it right there. We don't know because we don't play offense for 4 quarters and haven't since Monken left. We play for the lead and then not to lose the lead.

Almost glad it's a night game. It was a noon kickoff in Oxford in 2016 and 3:30 last season. Might as well try something diferent. Hopefully we can recreate the mojo and vibe we had in Tuscaloosa earlier this season.

It will be Kirby's third look against Chambliss in the last 55 weeks. I like to think that's a good thing. But maybe that little sonofabitch just has our number.

Bobo's called a lot of great games well into the 4th imo. But, with the numerous comments from coaches about depth & injuries, it's not really surprising to see the philosophy change since Monken was here.

One thing I WILL say is that "conservative" shouldn't mean nor should it excuse automatic 3 & outs. It seems like Bobo schemes up a lot of plays that get dropped, misread, tipped, or are basically DOA from a whiffed block.

I don't know if you can blame it on the players when it keeps happening through multiple classes now.

One thing is for certain, a LOT of teams are running offenses based on the screen/ short pass game as a big part of the playbook and philosophy. The thing that the dumb dumbs have a huge issue with when Bobo does it.

I think some of our plays that do not work are due to lack of individual execution. It happens. You gotta coach through it. Some of the time, it’s just great individual effort by a defensive player… some of the time, it’s a defensive call/scheme that puts the other team in a spot to beat us on the play. Football is tough right now. Talent is spread out, coaches have a lot of resources available for scouting and tendencies. I still think we will be fortunate to not have 2 losses by the end of the regular season. I have a feeling the game plan this weekend offensively will be a bit more aggressive than it was vs UF.

To me, the entire game is about one getting pressure on their QB and two maintaining, possession.

FL scored 52 on this OM team everyone’s convinced we’re going to lose to.

This year more than any, nobody has any idea of what each week will bring.

This 100%!

No team looks amazing this year. What I do know is that UGA is loaded across the board and when it's clicking is absolutely unstoppable. Played a shitty game against a ranked hated rival and we were still up 24-0 at halftime (fla didn't even score till late in the 4th).

You have to know the second half will be a dud whenever Kirby takes a huge 1st half lead. That's Kirby-ball.

So, who is better this year? Miami, Indiana, Utah, UCLA... this is a crazy season and there will be more upsets. Embrace the chaos!

A few random thoughts:

I have significant concerns about SCW fielding punts in a tight game.

I understand the concept of the quick horizontal passing game being a running game extension, but we are still leaning on it as if Branch and/or Bowers are catching it. They aren’t though, and I don’t think it suits our current team nearly as well.

Woodring is struggling badly and I hope he snaps out of it.

For now, we need to move Humphreys back there to fair catch

If our defensive backs don't learn to turn and look for the ball, then we will likely have multiple PI penalties.

Absolutely maddening game-in and game-out. There's literally zero excuse in 2026 for a DB playing at this level to be missing this basic skill at that position.

Seems simple coaching to allow your head or entire body to rotate once you have gotten as close to the wr as you can get in an emergency recovery. That and why you run to head check back towards the QB as you go... whether you are actually seeing the QB or not, all the ref sees is the helmet turn.

That and the Pi to give uf the late TD, their wr grabbed our defender when we released and fought the entire way, should be offsetting or a no call when it can go either way.

I don't think we went conservative with the lead against Auburn. I think we had turnover issues and I also think Nate Frazier looked rusty in that game and we struggled to get the run game going.

The common theme in those two games was Gunner taking a huge hit up near the head and looking off his game for a few quarters afterwards.

I’m just wondering if Gunner is 100% healthy? He is usually very efficient and these last two games he has not been IMO. Had a QBR of 24.1(Fla) and 54.3(au) his last two games

I know we jest about keeping the playbook close to our chest heading into big games, but is there a chance we kept it painfully vanilla against the 9ators?

We almost entirely abandoned the downfield passing threat right from the jump.

Don't risk it if you don't have to? Our TEs alone are likely the best group in the country at that position, top to bottom. What's the rationale behind barely throwing the ball past the LOS?

I think we just played two really physical games and the answer to the age old question is how much does a middle tier sec team need to beat an elite sec team, 3 tos and 4 ill timed pfs was the answer.

Undisciplined mofos will cost yo arse.
