I always jokingly told people to just leave a clipboard with consent forms hanging from the bed post.

I definitely made myself chuckle out loud imagining someone getting down and sweaty with someone in Flans and somehow pausing their mental disassociation for the 5 seconds needed to make a good choice

All things considered, doesn't accusing someone of rape and all that comes with it for the woman seem like it would be an irrational response to being embarrassed by a "walk of shame"? If this was a ploy to get money from an NFL player, false accusation makes sense. But embarrassed because some people saw her leave a residence?

I disagree with about 99% of what you post but I'm with you on this. Unless there's a whole whole whole lot more to the story, this is very very very bad for Adam.

No idea what’s true in all of this, but I’ve thought of the NFL angle as well. It doesn’t particularly make sense as a money grab at this point to me because of the timing. If I was going to extort money from someone, I’d wait until post-draft when they were assuredly in the first round, as opposed to potentially ruining that first round money.
Who knows what happened.

The good news for Anderson is that if he had a history with this girl, he has a good chance of ultimately being acquitted if it goes to trial. If there is past evidence that he broke up with her, threatened to break up with her, was mean to her, or cheated on her, a jury will be very unlikely to convict because those are big examples of a motive to fabricate that casts reasonable doubt. And the DA will probably not even charge if that’s the case. On the other hand, if this was a girl he only met that night at a bar or party, then he is in serious jeopardy.
Unfortunately for the sake of the team, neither outcome is going to happen before the end of the season. The only hope for that is if there are text messages or statements from the girl that pretty clearly show she is lying.

Sad world if buyers remorse can turn into a rape charge. Really sad if it becomes a conviction.

There was an interview with a guy who was an NBA bodyguard back during the Kobe Bryant affair. One of his duties was to take the woman aside before she went into his boss' room and explain, in fairly graphic detail, exactly what would happen if she went in. And point out that he had informed her of it beforehand, if she felt like making an issue of it after the fact.

If you're going to video it, be absolutely sure to confirm partner's age - as in driver's license and passport - beforehand, or you could have a whole world of problems even if everything is consensual.
