I love us.
Never change, Ags.

The Tennessee-Texas A&M football game had everything anyone could ever want in a college football game, but it was what happened off the field that the rest of the SEC could learn from.
I love us.
Never change, Ags.

There is no reason to ever treat our guests with anything but respect and hospitality.

Agree with this 100%. If you ever travel to away games you can understand why this is the only way to go. Fans are fans. No need to ever be jerk to an opposing fan, family, etc... They love their school as much as you love yours.

What I have learned to love us the slow SEC east rotation. Yeah it sucks that a player won't go to every SEC stadium in their career, but it makes it so every year those who come to ours for the first time really show up in force (because it will be so long before the next chance) and expose themselves as much as possible to us.
And we love exposure of all kinds.

The rotation could go twice as fast and I think there would still be the same effect. Seems like SC is over-exposed and the others are way under-exposed.

I am so proud of the hospitality rep we have

i have found i really really like other SEC fans that i come into contact with. at ACL i met some Auburn and LSU fans and we talked football for a while and they were so much nicer than random BDF fans i encountered over the years. despite the rivalry crap, i think most everybody likes each other, which is a nice change of pace.

Did not make the Tennessee game, but ran into LOTS of their fans when the girls (7 and 8 now) stopped at a convenience store for Gatorade on the way to a 4H Horse Club meeting. Of course, all three of us were wearing our TAMU gear.
Each and every one of the Vols was very nice and polite. And they were quite pleased when my girls wished them luck and a safe trip.

I had several friends that went to College Station last week and had a blast. I'm pulling for you guys this week and the rest of the season.

Unless they are Texas Tech fans.

Have you read Pizzapower recently? They are in a bad place right now.

Those classless clowns deserve being in the Big12 and living in fear of no conference security. I remember some of their fans ripping up the newly laid grass on the 9/11 memorial near the quad during our 2008 meeting.
those clowns.

GOOD! Then there is some justice in this world. My favorite memory of Lubbock is walking into a McDonald's before the game (yes, we were all cheap bastards with no money. Shut up.) and an old woman standing up on her table jabbing her witch finger at us and yelling at the top of her lungs "You go to Hell, Aggies! You suck! Get the hell out of here." And she was one of the friendly ones. That was 1977.
No, I don't hold a grudge at all. Why do you ask?

My one time I went to Lubbock was 1991. Took the 12th Man Student bus and had 2 kegs and a bathroom on board. Drank for hours on the way there, stumbled to Yell, then slept for a few hours before the game. Bucky and the WC destroyed Tech that day something like 37-14 and it was not that close, game was over in the 1st quarter and Tech folks filed out by halftime. Then partied up that night in Lubbock but I had some Tech friends and it stayed fun. Slept on the bus the whole way back.
Great college road trip.
My parents continued to go every year as my Dad is from West Texas and it deteriorated every time. The '01 game was the topper with the goalpost incident, some 19 year old tried to get into a fight with my 65 year old Dad and my Mom held him back. They haven't returned nor have I nor do I care to.
Lots of Ags talk about Texas but the 2 schools we have absolutely nothing to gain from ever, ever playing again are Tech and Baylor.

The measure of a gentleman is found in his ability to show true courtesy to those that he likes the least.
