I’m curious...is it possible to gray shirt the Shepherds transfer? We sign Evans and Jackson, and then Shepherd enrolls into A&M and is essentially a walk on until the 2021 class. He has to sit out a year anyways.

He’d have to pay his way out of pocket. From a program standpoint there’s no difference but for his family it’s thousands of dollars in tuition. Not sure of his family situation but that’s a deal breaker for some

The problem with Evans is if he can’t enroll early then he’s only as good as his word until August. So he can say he’s committed to us tomorrow but do you trust him to stick by that for 8 months?

It’s so awesome to be in a position where we don’t know if we want to hold a roster spot open for a five star RB with greater than 50-50 odds of coming.

Current rumor is that evans got what he needed on the ACT but he still wants to enroll in the summer. If so then some other school is going to take him. I have zero idea what their numbers are like but this screams OU

Waiting for a scholarship in the summer is idiotic if that’s his plan. Doesn’t seem like it’s true but I feel bad for him if someone is advising him to do this

The kid simply doesn't want to go to A&M, and his brother definitely doesn't want him to do so. I would not count on this one - looks like the no-defense league

TexAgs posted ab update that said that they were "cautiously optimistic" than Evans would be on campus next week. But they were far from confident.
