I was curious so glanced at the football twitter account, they are also following Malik Hornsby, so don’t know the rules on that or it was just a mistake by the person who runs the account.

I wouldn't say meh. Watching his junior highlights he is similar in size to Spiller, but is much better at breaking tackles, slipping tackles, blocking and receiving. He might be able to play fullback.

He is kinda like a worse Richardson. I’d really like to see plenty of Smith in the backfield next year otherwise we will lack a game breaking aspect to the run game again. Spiller is fine but he has his limitations

I really wish a competent grad transfer would pop up and we could find a way to take him but I guess that’s unlikely with where the scholarships numbers are at. If Spiller gets hurt we are pretty fricked at RB next year.

Spiller was a below average blocker and was not very good at moving with the ball in space. Often if he caught the ball out of the backfield without blockers, he was going to be stopped by the first tackler.

Some are saying Crownover might be a blue shirt. Basically he would be on scholarship but wouldn’t play next year, and the scholarship counts towards next years class. He never took an OV, which is the loophole. Would still leave room for Evans if they are still pursuing him.
If Evans goes elsewhere, just put Crownover on a normal scholarship

I'm interested in his recruitment story. He had 1700 yards and 18 touchdowns in 2016 and seemingly no college interest. Must have been a qualifier lost cause?
