I was told about the Petrino thing by a family friend, the son of a former UofA board member.

I have no sources on any of the Sumlin stuff, lol

Not quite what happened

Then tell us exactly what happened, since you’re “in the know”.

Otherwise all I see is a bunch of internet board rumors/speculation with nothing concrete. Starting to wonder if rojo left texags to keep his shtick going over here.

I’m really nervous we’ll regret letting him go if he beats LSU

Can personally attest to this unfortunately

But I do believe Sumlin could have gotten a pass for something.

It is time for Sumlin to go, and try someone else. Six years of mediocrity is long enough

Same.

Win or lose vs LSU doesn't make up for the last 3-4 years. Also I don't really care who is the QB at A&M but for us to have wishbone type passing yards for 3 games in a row was a joke.

Even some of the games we won vs Nichols St and ULL were a struggle at home. We ought to be able to stick about any QB on the roster and beat Nichols St. and ULL convincingly. No way we should have to come back from a halftime deficit to a now 5-5 ULL team.

Play calling, lack of development by offensive line, personnel decisions, piss poor game management and horrific clock management for 10 1/2 games this season... 2nd half of Ole Miss notwithstanding, panicky recruiting, crazy number of QB transfers, lack of QB development, an awful record at Kyle Field, etc.. etc... it really just goes on and on.

Not nervous about letting Sumlin go at all. He has had plenty of time to build a solid resume at A&M. Does he have one? Not even close.

Here’s the real hypothetical, if the Dallas BMAs didn’t force Kyler on us and we took Stidham instead straight out of HS, does Sumlin still have the job?

I don’t think so

I just don’t think Sumlin has what it takes, good guy but needs to be at a mid level program
