Hope they remembered to change the batteries in the smoke detectors

It’s a poor, dirty, dangerous city with terrible roads and amenities beyond the food.
re: The Super Bowl should be in NOLA every year

Hell no
I’d support a permanent rotation of Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Phoenix, NO and Atlanta though. Dallas/Houston weather in February is too unpredictable, Levi Stadium is arse and too out of the way and no cold weather city should ever be included. Nobody wants to pregame in fricking Indianapolis or MSP.

I’ve never understood the fawning over the uniqueness of New Orleans music and culture. I’m convinced it’s one of those things everyone says because they think they have to but nobody actually believes it. A bunch of overweight black dudes playing jazz while gyrating just isn’t as notable as so many pretend it is.
The food is fantastic, though

The cartels’ entire existence is predicated on not making enough noise that the US decides to intervene directly into Mexico. We know where all the important players are at all times and could completely eviscerate the leadership with minimal effort.

Well that was fun boys

The only guy who will likely be out for a minute is Bisontis. Everyone else was cramps/minor dings.
re: Why is our bye week the week before NMSU?
Posted by Roger Klarvin on 10/21/24 at 11:47 pm
Look at it this way, you basically get a tune up game coming out of the bye and your starters only have to play a half. Anyone playing hurt gets three full weeks of rest between USC and Auburn.

LSU fans need to make up their minds, do you hate BK or not?

His good is much better than Kyle Allen’s good.
re: Texas A&M @ Mississippi St.

We played awful and won by double digits. That’s a mark of a good team. Only the 2020 team under Jimbo was capable of having a game like that end in a multiple score victory.
re: If LSU goes into Kyle next week and wins

LSU has been playing with fire for weeks. Should have lost to USC and Ole Miss. The luck runs out in College Station.

And even those scores are misleading, as State was down by 21+ in the second half of ALL those games. Arizona State and Georgia went to sleep but had a combined 51 point lead in the late third of those games.
70% of State’s yards and points this year have come in the last 21 minutes of game time in games in which they were down by over 3 touchdowns. They’re piling up garbage stats.

But one, what State did under the two prior coaching staffs is irrelevant and two, this is the worst State team we’ve ever played in Starkville. People keep bringing up 2016 but that team won 6 games and was significantly better than this one. Hell this team is worse than the one we beat in 2020 that went 4-7.

We need to set out in advance what you mean, specifically. I don’t want to see you come running over here claiming you were right when they score a late TD and we win 35-21 after being up 3+ scores all day

They had one half where they exploited a matchup and hit a disproportionate number of 50/50 balls. That isn’t reproducible.

We're going to launch State into the sun
45-13

I think it's weird that a neutral comment on the nature of the local fanbase and it's role in the gameday atmosphere gets some of you so wound up.
Going to a game at DKR is much more similar to a rowdy NFL game than a typical large college venue. That's just the nature of Texas' unique location/circumstance. The same is true for USC. That's just the way it is, it's not meant to be offensive.
