The issue for USC is there offensive line is so terrible that really nothing can consistently work. Couple that with a terrible run defense and you get a team whose defense is on the field all day and just isn’t up to the challenge like last year.
This is one of the redemption tour games this year. I fully expect the defense to try and make sure they have to dig Sellers out of the Kyle Field turf after the game.
He might end up being better, but a true freshman vs a fifth year senior isn’t even comparable. No skill gap that would ever be seen at this level of football makes up for that experience gap.

You just haven’t seen enough and DCs will confuse the hell out of you.
No excuse for a big program ever losing to a team starting a true freshman QB in his first start. That’s just such a massive disadvantage at this level of football that it should override everything else if the talent is otherwise comparable (ie not P4 vs G6 or Ohio State vs Purdue level discrepancy).
You have to just start playing by their rules. Long ago I resorted to Katrina smack to combat the constant LSU bonfire jokes.

It’s definitely not the high road but frick ‘em

Kinda like y'all mismanaged building a bonfire???

So much worse than that

I would never think to make fun of the floods that happened this summer in TX.

Sorry that you lack commitment
The only thing more mismanaged in that state are the levees
You lick ONE bunghole and they never let you forget it
Saying we only beat Notre Dame on the road by one point as if it is some sort of cautionary tale is a pretty wild take

Yes, a road game against an eventual playoff team came down to the wire. That’s how those games go if you’re really good. If you aren’t you just lose, usually by a lot. This program hadn’t won a game like that in the living memory of anyone on this board.
The quality of shite talk on the rant is dramatically worse than it was 10-15 years ago, and a lot of the best posters from this site’s heyday have since been banned, disappeared or unfortunately died.

With respect to this board, it became so damn depressing during the end of Sumlin’s tenure and through most of the Jimbo tenure. It effectively became the 247 board with less inside info, just an absolute beating of negativity.
It’s 2025 and you can’t cover the goddamn playaction slant?
Hope they remembered to change the batteries in the smoke detectors
It’s a poor, dirty, dangerous city with terrible roads and amenities beyond the food.
Hell no

I’d support a permanent rotation of Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Phoenix, NO and Atlanta though. Dallas/Houston weather in February is too unpredictable, Levi Stadium is arse and too out of the way and no cold weather city should ever be included. Nobody wants to pregame in fricking Indianapolis or MSP.
I’ve never understood the fawning over the uniqueness of New Orleans music and culture. I’m convinced it’s one of those things everyone says because they think they have to but nobody actually believes it. A bunch of overweight black dudes playing jazz while gyrating just isn’t as notable as so many pretend it is.

The food is fantastic, though
The cartels’ entire existence is predicated on not making enough noise that the US decides to intervene directly into Mexico. We know where all the important players are at all times and could completely eviscerate the leadership with minimal effort.
