A literal gorilla would be the only thing that could whoop coach O's arse. Pittman would last longer than most but would still get beaten to death

Arkansas may not win more than 6 or 7 games this year but I promise you, it won't be long before we're back to 10+ win seasons.
It’s gonna take a big step in recruiting to get there. I think Pittman has y’all in the right direction but Arkansas has never consistently won 10+ games in this conference.

This topic works under the thought that being in shape/strong means you will win a fight. It doesn't take into account that Young Ed Orgeron would be extremely high on blow and not really able to process pain.

It can happen. Arkansas destroyed a Texas team that recruits in the top 10 each year. Which means all that hype that these freshmen have is gone once they step on the field.
If Arkansas can just get themselves out of the way for once then they can get better but these 30 years have taken the life out of them.

Texas recruiting is a bad indicator of overall talent level. They spent the last decade recruiting top rated skill positions like crazy, and almost totally ignoring the rest of the roster. Makes for good headlines during recruting season, but that's about it.
Sumlin did the same thing while at A&M. Always had some big splash commitments with high ceilings and highly rated classes that made fans happy to see, but never had a complete top to bottom roster once the team he initially inherited started to graduate out.

I was speaking on your time overall in the SEC. I consider “consistently” as 2 full recruiting cycles, or 8 years. So we may just be arguing semantics here but I don’t consider a 4 year run as a consistently winning program. Arkansas has been in the conference since 92 and only has won 10 games in a season 3 times in 30 years. That’s all I was saying in terms of Arkansas being a consistent 10 win team in this conference.

True but there is a difference between beating an overrated team one time and consistently winning 10+ games in the SEC these days. Hell I remember when Beliema stomped our arse and we had top 10 recruiting talent. I absolutely believe Arkansas is going back to consistently bowling and occasionally hitting 10 win seasons with Pittman but I don’t see them routinely being a 10-2 squad in this conference unless they can start recruiting top 15 classes. On a historical timeline in the last 20 years there hasn’t really been anyone in this conference average 10 wins a year for multiple seasons without top 10 recruiting classes. I mean look at Florida, we’ve been pulling that every year and we still have sucked by our standards for the last decade lol

Give me a 3 star that will buy into Pittman and work his arse off over whatever the hell Texas and LSU have been signing.
