have you considered basing your opinion of candidates on facts, rather than emotions and vague name calling ?

talarico apparently has alot of the good ol boys here fooled. not sure whether to be impressed by him, or sad for them.

His opponent is a testosterone free, heretical **** of the highest order. The only people who would vote for Talarico are white lesbians from Unitarian congregations.
Actually Talarico is the farthest thing from heretical. Sure, it flies in the face of the nonsense that evangelical preach but that is what makes him authentic and correct. He is much more in line with serious theologians and scholars and mainstream Christianity than what you obviously believe.
I doubt that a democrat, no matter how much more qualified than a republican candidate, can win in Texas because the state has too many rednecks, bigots and knuckle draggers, (you can't fix stupid) but the polls are remarkably close so Talarico appeals to more than just "white lesbians."
Your "lesbian" remark identifies you a member of the Texans that I described above.

There are plenty of other reasons to not vote for Paxton. His history sort of speaks for itself.

Without knowing it, Paxton saved college football and saved Texas Tech from themselves.
If Paxton never wrote his warning letter to the Big 12, Sorsby would have likely played this year. However, since his letter violated the Dormant Commerce Clause, this gave the Big 12 an avenue for legal relief.
The Dormant Commerce Clause is a legal doctrine stating that because the U.S. Constitution gives Congress the power to regulate interstate commerce, individual states cannot pass laws that unfairly discriminate against or place undue burdens on out-of-state businesses, even when Congress hasn't passed any federal laws on the subject.

Better way to state it.
Cody screwed himself bc he’s the one that pushed Paxton who just did what politicians do, jump when told to jump for those that give them money.

There it is. There’s the racism and elitism. Y’all just can’t keep from insulting the other side by calling them stupid in some form because they refuse to accept your more “enlightened” philosophy. Yet, California is in shambles economically and Texas is booming.

Sadly, We've eroded to the point that even the Character Counts/Family Values party is okay with that kind of thing anymore.

I am reading, from where I live in NC, that even though polls show a close race, Talarico is more frequently ahead vs. Paxton. Don’t the Austin, Houston, and San Antonio MSAs frequently vote majority Democratic now? I’m not sure about Dallas; I know Fort Worth used to be more conservative. Since Trump is not on the ballot in November, are the Republicans going to be excited enough to get out and vote in the numbers needed? I am not sensing much excitement for Paxton in my brief unscientific survey here in this thread…

I don't give a shite about the party name anymore but something is very wrong when Ken Paxton is the best Republicans could come up with. Guy was sleazy before and the Tech thing just shows how much booster dick he is willing to suck. He was fighting to support letting players who fricking bet on their own games get to play. He was impeached and he always seems to be in legal trouble. How in the absolute frick did this guy get the nomination?

Paxton is a sleeze, but he's garden variety sleeze who will just be one of 100 in the Senate. Talafreako is promoting evil. It's an unappetizing choice, but not a hard one. The False Prophet is not going to win.

I dislike Paxton but we can’t let his Transvestite loving opponent win. That would be catastrophic for the country. We got to vote for Paxton. I wish it wasn’t this way but it is

Paxton helps child molesters.
Your values are skewed.

Wow - he goes or went to Austin Theological Seminary, which is about as far left wing as you can get. It's in no way in line with serious theologians. His church pastor/spiritual advisor Jim Rigby is an absolute nutter.
Sorry I'm not voting for a "good man" that will vote almost 100% opposite of what I would want as my Senator.

If they know it doesn’t matter, they can behave with impunity.
They are counting on nobody switching their votes to keep them in check.
But people who get disgusted might not vote at all.
