Tennessee succumbing to that faux uprising and not hiring Schiano will haunt their program for years to come. Schiano is the type of coach they need to become a national brand again in the mind of recruits.

How is Texas better than anyone on here knows? They are more likely in fact worse.

According to Sagarin the last 4 years, Texas is better than the Aggies, but it is close. The number rotates to the Aggies if you use 3 years strangely enough.. as that is the year we beat OU & Georgia, but it is still close. The 2 year average is identical. So yeah.. Im guessing no one on here thought that.. because it was even better than I thought it would be.

Herman had 18 losses by a combined 116 points in 4 years.. that’s a lot of close games.

7 or those to losses were to teams that finished ranked in the top 10.. and 4 more in the AP Top 20. As I said, Texas is better than anyone thinks that they are..

We will find out the truth next here either way real soon.

Maybe, maybe not. But damn son… let’s look at TXs record… no …let’s just look at who Texas has LOST to the last five seasons.

- Ok St: 3 times
- TCU: 3 times
- Iowa St: 2 times
- Maryland: 2 times
- West Va: 2 times

Not to mention…

Kansas
California Berkeley
Kansas St
Texas Tech
Baylor

Not to mention …

LSU and Oklahoma (5 times)

The last five years of TX football looks foolish when summarized doesn’t it? In other words…

No, TX isn’t better than we think ….

Because orange is a bad color and recruits with better options go elsewhere.

Well the guy you’ve got coaching your OL now will turn your scraps into the cream of the crop. He is elite.

ETA: But he’s too loyal to Heupel.

Elarbee is one reason why I think we can overachieve this season despite having no defense.

Charlie Strong was bad no doubt..
but Herman left it a lot better than he found it.
Herman had some bad losses for sure.. like Maryland twice and a few others.. but you will see when we play Arkansas..

I’m not saying we will definitely win.. but you will see a better team than you think.

Well this is just false.

It's not a hotbed, but Nashville metro, and now the Chattanooga metro are continually growing and middle and east TN are producing more and more SEC level talent. What Tennessee's issue is, that they've not gotten enough of these players outside the 2014 and 2015 classes. The issue is that a strong Alabama and a strong Clemson coupled with Tennessee having a decade of incompetence has allowed those two programs to get the best players in Tennessee, and even Ohio State has started making inroads into Nashville. However, if Tennessee can just stop embarrassing itself against the lower half of the East and terrible OOC competition, recruiting will be fine. we might not get to the heights of Alabama and Georgia currently, but if Tennessee can get back to consistently being on top of the second tier in the East, eventually we'll be able to erode that gap, especially if Georgia continues to underachieve.

The narrative that Georgia is underachieving is funny to me. Every other team in the nation not named Bama, Clemson, or Ohio State would be envious of UGA’s recent success

You've recruited in the top 5 every year and you have one SEC title, you've lost to LSU twice, both times they've had less talent than you. You've lost to Florida twice, both times they've had less talent than you. 0-3 vs Alabama and you're getting worse in comparison to them. You lost to Texas. You've even lost to a comically bad South Carolina team.

The record is great. I'm very jealous, I'd love for Tennessee to be where Georgia is right now. But it's underachieving. It's barely underachieving right now, but you can't keep recruiting this way and not getting hardware, or kids will get wise. Happened to Fulmer, hell it happened to Richt.

If they kept the OC who is an Art Briles disciple, they should have a fun offense, they recruit well, just struggle fielding a good defense and a consistent QB

If we are going to see a better Texas, you would have no doubt that they would win. So even you don't believe you're better.

Clemson and Alabama have done more to hurt Tennessee recruiting than UGA.

1) They were a national recruiting power under Fat Phil. Wonder why??

2)Nashville, Charlotte , and even Atlanta weren’t producing the number of players 20-30 years ago that they are now.

3) frick off, teasip.

Thats not really a knock when the national champ is in the SEC.

That 2019 LSU team was the most talented team in the nation when looking at the NFL draft.

I assume you missed the 2020 game if you think injuries didnt play a major role in that game.
