You think the people who have to pay for it don't have a say? Money men are always the decision makers.
No money man can win my love.

It's sweetness that I'm thinking of.

It sounds like you don't know too many Aggies in real life. I've known very, very many, and this poster is both typical and representative.

Very telling.

I don't see South Carolina. Have none of their QBs who've played had enough pass attempts or something like that?

EDIT: Thank you. Looks like it got fixed.

I came here just now to post congrats to Arkansas for kicking our butts.

1) They outplayed us severely.

2) We played poorly, in the main.

3) Just because we did not play well does not diminish Arkansas' accomplishment.

Nobody "snuck up" on anybody. The game's been on the schedule for over a year, both teams knew when and where, and one side showed up a helluva lot more ready than the other.

Congratulations goes to Pittman, all their players and their fans.

See you next year, same place, and we'll do it again.

Clemson lacks the national appeal to go independent. You have a strong but small following.
According to the NY Times Quad Blogs estimated fan base sizes from 2011, Clemson had the 10th largest fan base in the country. I don't remember the numbers but here's the order:

1. Ohio State
2. Michigan
3. Penn State
4. Notre Dame
5. Texas
6. Texas A&M
7. Auburn
8. Alabama
9. Florida
10. Clemson

That was 10 years ago and things've changed since then, but saying that Clemson has a small fan base is not correct. By all accounts I've seen they have more fans than South Carolina.

I know others have been talking about Notre Dame possibly needing to join a conference, but why? When they've been good enough, they've made the CFP. And in a world where the CFP expands to 6 or more teams, doesn't that lessen the need to be in a conference?
Good point. Somebody on Finebaum said that if they don't play a CCG it would affect their seeding as a consideration relative to all of those other teams who did. Just one thought.

As quickly as they overran the whole country they're still not as fast as Bama's receivers.

I heard the music in the background was "The Stroke" by Billy Squier. Just sayin'. :usa:

The daily practice report on the impact of the new Strength and Conditioning coach's techniques. Looks like a good fit on the 40! :nana:

Yes, that's why our state's population is so low.

Not sure why Texans believe this is actually considered beer. It tasted like someone had filled a can with dirty water and put it on ice behind the bar.
Most of us don't consider it beer, more like beer-flavored piss, though no one I know's ever consumed piss to actually make this comparison with 100% confidence.

It seems so to me. Let's hope sip hires him after Sark's tenure. He was the "Head Coach in Waiting" behind Mack before going to UF.
My friends' favorite dish of mine is Jalapeno Cheesy Grits.

Y’all can take shots but what A&M like before Jimbo? Everyone said this about A&M - the resources are there, the talent is there, the commitment is there. It’s a only s matter of time before the wake up.

Your kidding yourself if you don’t think Texas could flip the switch and become a power. Starts on the trail, X’s and O’s dont mean dick without jimmies and joes
This is an excellent example of a misguided post.

No, just because people on the SECN - and I was extremely disappointed to see and hear this - said, some years ago, **** like, "Well, we always knew A&M always had the money, and had the facilities . . . "

Total bull****.

Do a little research if you care, and if you don't, then I would ask you, as politely as possible, to stop posting untruthful things, because, quite apparently, a large portion of our nation just believes what's spoon-fed to them, and it's not helping.

I don't know about y'all but this freaking cracked me up for some reason. As the first response, especially.
They wear all white so as to be more easily seen by everyone in the stadium for the coordination of the yells.

That's also why their body movements and gesticulations are large/grandiose/histrionic.

We didn't have any female students back then, so they started out as all-male, for many decades.

Females can and have run for yell leader, and it's only a matter of time until we have one.

I totally get others not understanding or disliking it.

Almost all Aggies I've ever met love most of the yells we do, and our yell leaders coordinate that during the games and Yell Practices.

As an Aggie, I support it, just as I do the traditions of other schools that make them unique.

I like your general idea, Vol, but t.u. and Mizzou are also AAU, so, maybe:

Tier One - Vanderbilt

Tier Two - Florida, Georgia, t.u., Mizzou, A&M

Most also have specialization areas of excellence.
