You think that would make people like Kelly more.

Would love to play a round of golf at Carter Plantation w/Kelly, Beamer and Napier.

Do you think the Yankee Citrus Bowl King would try to talk like a southerner for you?

I'm going to expand my answer and say I would like to have dinner with the following:

Sam Pittman - Football
Bruce Pearl - Basketball
Tim Corbin - Baseball
Kim Mulkey - W Basketball

I would just sit and listen.

TBH, I don't want my coach to be a giant a-hole, but I don't really want him to be well liked either. I would much rather him be feared or, at least, disliked because he's beating your coach on a regular basis. People liked Bill Curry (outside Bama fans) and Mike Shula but with Bryant, Stallings, and Saban - not so much.

I don’t like Kelly on how he interacts with his players on the sideline. I never liked coaches that go apeshit on refs like the Iowa St coach or the TCU idiot Dikes but I get that more then putting your players on a bad light when your mad on camera.

Why is Sam so likeable? I’m sure he’s a good guy but I’ve never seen anything that he’s gone above and beyond that makes him likeable and hes not a good head coach.

He drinks cold beer and has a nice rack.

I'll say this about Ole Eli Drinkmeister...

If he's your Coach, you love him!
If he's a competitor's Coach, you despise him.
If you're a fan of a school not involved, you have no idea what all the fuss is about.

I don't really get the hate for Kelly, I assume most is extending from his time at Notre Dame. He didn't really move the needle for me there.

He doesn't really talk shite to other teams, what's the problem?

Not hate for me, but during the UF/LSU game he continuously berated players on camera, and just seems to have an angry disposition. The fist on the table didn't give me any warm and fuzzies either. Like I said, he may be great, he just seems a little abrasive to me. I am not saying I wouldn't have loved to play for him either. My high school coach was a mean hombre, but I love him like a father to this day.

Kelly is 17-7 in SEC regular season play for a winning % of .708

Only Kirby and Sark have a better SEC winning %.

Considering i know the difference, I'd just laugh. Because you'd have Napier doing his best Slingblade impression at the same time.

I don;t know, I kind of like Kirby Smart, but Lane Kiffin impressed me at the end of the bowl game when he got onto his players for scoring that late TD when the game was already handled.

The one I wouldn't pee on if he was on fire is Josh Heupel. Tennessee I'm ok with, their head coach, not so much.

C'mon now...what's not to like about Eli?

He actually is a pretty funny guy....ask Finebaum. Paul loves him. He's just a guy enjoying life, and is a player's Coach that gets a bit wound up on the sidelines. I'd rather have that than a non emotional dweeb. We'll keep our emotional dweeb....
