What makes Missouri interesting is we are definitely the closest thing to a melting pot there is. We've got Yankees, Rebs, and everything in between.
Back to the loyalty question....people are over thinking it. Supporting the programs come in many different ways from butts in seats, donations, and in my opinion most relevant, is cheering for the team to perform no matter what. Missouri has a lot more options than some of the other fan bases on where they spend their dollars. Chiefs, Royals, Cardinals, Blues, Soccer, and Nascar just across the state line. If all you have is College Football it makes it a lot easier to generate fan support.

Hands down Mizzou fans! We go into every Season knowing this will happen numerous times....yet we still support our program.

Couple of things. I know you're a real Mizzou fan because stating that I'm "trying to hype up a team" by predicting 4 losses, isn't exactly 'hyping up" in my humble opinion. Looking at our schedule, 8 wins is simply not only possible, but realistically it might happen, but more importantly and sadly our ceiling. We aren't going to the playoffs as I mentioned earlier. We can only hope for a decent bowl game.
"Hyping up" would be me saying we will make the playoffs, and finish with no more than 2 losses.

I don't think 8-4 would be huge, only expected. We will be competitive this year but other than a good Bowl game, that's about it. Despite 10 of our 11 D Starters departing many analysts are picking us to compete.

You obviously missed the point, along with the only other non SEC member obsessed with posting on my SEC boards. Really quite sad a big 12 fan tries to make this place his home. We Mizzou Fans don't care, nor think of the dump they call kansas to the west of us. If the landfill state presents itself, as on this map, we simply let others know the truth about the place you stop to take a piss while traveling through to Colorado. Hope that helps.
