Prime Shane Lechler would make every current college and pro Punter second string immediately.

The 1985 Bears are one the NFL’s greatest teams, but I am not so sure a college team like 2019 LSU couldn’t beat them
Well to be fair, LSU's 2019 offense would be a nightmare against a lot more recent Superbowl teams. Burrow to Chase is a nightmare matchup already, and you're giving him Justin Jefferson back.

Why is it not surprising that no one has ever heard of the best guy from Missouri.

There is no actual requirement that you demonstrate publicly your ignorance of CFB and the NFL, yet you still do so. However, thanks for letting us all know so we don’t waste time thinking you know anything.

Here’s a little lesson:

quote:

Roger Russell Wehrli is an American former professional football player who spent his entire 14-year career as a cornerback for the St. Louis Cardinals of the National Football League (NFL) from 1969 until 1982. He was a seven-time Pro Bowler after playing college football for the Missouri Tigers, where he was a consensus All-American and a first-round draft choice by the Cardinals in 1969. He was inducted to the College Football Hall of Fame in 2003 and the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2007.

And if they were all hooked up to a polygraph machine with a gun to their head if they told a lie....they'd all pick Herschel, and so would you.

I'd take the guy who had a career ypc average higher than any of them...

Billy Sims.

For Tennessee, I think our GOAT is Reggie White over Peyton Manning and Reggie White is still the greatest defensive lineman of all time, imo.

You would not take college Emmitt over college Herschel. The NFL versions, sure.

Depends how far back you go since the the average weights/sizes at certain positions have dramatically changed over the years different. A DT from the 60s gets tossed around today. No doubt your best player ever at a school was likely a complete freak who was just bigger and stronger than everyone though. Just if your best player was an O or D lineman from the 60s of something like that. It is probably though if you take that guy when he was a baby and raised him with today's nutrition and training, he likely turns out to be a freak in 2025

I absolutely would. College Emmitt was fantastic.

He should have won the Heisman. He was the best player in CFB in 2011 and it wasn’t even close.

I would bet that 9 out of 10 football fans have no idea who Roger Wehrli is.

Under age 40, 99 out of 100.

I like this pick but he didn't have the career in the NFL like he did in college.

My answer is Earl or Ricky.

I think if Texas had either of those 2 backs the last 2 years, I think we would have won at least 1 NC, maybe 2.

RB1 Jonathon Brooks got hurt during the season in 2023
RB1 Cedric Baxter got hurt during camp in 2024.

Vince is arguably better, but he doesn't really fit with a Sark offense.
