Threads like this make LSU fans look dumber than we already do.
Saban isn’t coming and hes 74 years old

This is the ticket.

No matter how wrong someone was about a coach no one here will ever have the balls to say they were wrong.
I was wrong and have no issue admitting it. I was in BK’s corner until this season. I thought SW got the best person to right the ship, it looked like he had, but then Matt House, then Sloan, rest is history.
I did think it was worth it to bring a proven coach with his track record with a “high floor” but it turns out his floor wasn’t any higher than an average coach we could’ve gotten anywhere.
I’m thinking a lot of coaches could be 5-3 right now with LSU’s talent. We’re not the most talented but we’re top 10.

This is what I’ve been saying. We won’t even make the 12 team playoff again. We are not a top 10 program in college football. When’s the last time we would’ve? 2019? Maybe 2023?

Are we the only “top 10 athletic program” that will finish unranked for the second consecutive season, for the 4th time in the last 6 seasons, and outside of the top 10 every season since 2019?

re: What a wasted season.

We have had wasted seasons every year except 1 since 2012, and that was because we had 3 NFL hall of famers alongside each other.
At a certain point we may have to face the fact that we aran’t really as prestigious as we think we are.
Hate to say it, but only one regular season with 10 wins says a lot.

Horrible take. He didn’t fit because he didn’t work his arse off. He didn’t eat breathe and life LSU football.
So tired of this argument. No one cares that he talks like us, otherwise we’d still have Orgeron. Otherwise we would’ve fired Saban.
Les Miles didn’t talk and walk like us.
Plus the standards were LOW back then. Saban changed that. Miles changed that. Orgeron even maintained it for a bit.

If immigrants are able to accomplish things that many descendants of American slaves still cannot - how is that not an indicator of systemic issues?
When people discuss systemic injustices, 95% of the time it’s race based. The US has bent over backwards to fix these injustices more than any country on the planet, and clearly it has been fixed, considering so many “people of color” spend every dollar they have to come to this country and still end up getting ahead.
Systemic injustice is just this broad, vague, intangible buzz term. It doesn’t even mean anything. There’s no logic behind it.

no father in the home" is not Sandy's choice. The father is responsible for abandoning his children, not Sandy.
She has a lot more control over it than you say, and your “it’s not her fault” attitude enables her shitty choices in men and in life. I highly doubt this woman’s loving husband died in a car accident.
Problem with Trump is that he’s not an extremist, but his rhetoric makes him SEEM that way. So the natural reaction to an extremist is to go the other direction but the left went way further than usual because Trump’s actions aren’t really that extreme. So they DOUBLE overcompensated. Went further left than just a normal back and forth.
As silly as it is, you can’t change the reality that his bullshite, childish rhetoric turned people off so much that he made the democrats way too extreme. Fight it all you want, his rhetoric did this.

I guess it's easier to do that than to consider that there are very clearly groups that are disadvantaged through no fault of their own in our society.
No one forced Sandy to have 2 kids and no father at home. We have to stop that cycle in certain communities, and considering African immigrants come here to a supposedly white supremacist country, and within a generation bring home more income than the average white family, I'd say the US has done about all it can do.
I've been to 40+ countries and I don't think any of them have been able to pull something like that off... and yet we're still here flogging ourselves for "systemic injustice"

And did she answer the space laser question?
I don't think you can really answer that. She said what she said and she will never be taken seriously by anyone with a brain after that. If you can't confirm something like that with actual concrete evidence, beyond "someone has footage from iphone of something that looked like a laser", you probably shouldn't say something like that.

If and that’s a BIG IF Kiffin leaves Ole Miss it’ll be to LSU plain and simple. He’s not going to UF over LSU get real.
People on this board act like LSU is some dream job where it's easy to win, but between 3 coaches, 2 of which are HOF worthy, LSU has only had one 10 win regular season.
The only thing LSU can offer is more money, and Florida can easily match whatever LSU offers, and probably Ole Miss too.
The regional recruiting advantage Louisiana has, that Nick Saban was most excited about in the early 2000s, is pretty much gone.

MVB is not nearly the runner people are selling him to be on the board and mobile QBs do not offset pass rush. Mobile QBs get sacked more.
He is not a statue. Nuss is just really terrible.
quote:
It’s not our money. Why should we care?
Quit saying this shite, it makes no sense.
It affects the team and every dollar that is spent on BK’s buyout is a dollar that boosters could’ve spent elsewhere. A $54M buyout is not a good thing, especially when LSU still has to pay players and a new coaching staff.
As fans, we should want them to save us much money as possible.
This is like saying “it’s not your ankle. Why do you care?” If someone asks whether whit weeks is playing against Bama.
It affects the team.

I worked there as a kid 20 years ago.
The Fine Arts building was missing “INE” in “Fine Arts”, we called it Farts. It was this way when I got there and when I left 4 years later. I would not be surprised if it’s still not fixed.
I vividly remember the cafeteria, dorms, both auditoriums (one in Farts and one right across from Farts). The place is rough, no doubt about it.
I didn’t go to Farts much, but if your kid is practicing in Farts, the pianos used to be about 100 years old and had yellow keys and chipped wood.

re: What's your logical Saban take?
Posted by TN Tygah on 11/3/25 at 8:14 pm to John Rambeaux
It makes no sense for him to come to LSU unless he just wants to BK us which I don’t see him doing.
1) He has nothing to prove
2) He doesn’t need the money
3) He hates coaching college football the way it is currently
4) He hates dealing with boosters wanting guarantees and players wanting pay raises
5) He is 74
6) He would become a direct competitor to the school who built him a statue and named their field after him. You think he’s going to even remotely tarnish that legacy by knocking them out of the playoffs?
7) He quit on top
Add to that, there’s no way 74 year old Saban has the fire he used to have.
