Having won 2 NC’s since the last time Georgia did in 1980 is a major separating point!

Yeah blue blood has as much to do with historic reputation, legendary coaches, etc. as it does modern success.
In that regard UGA may have a slight edge on LSU but neither really fits all that well.
If you look solely to modern success then Florida would qualify in football and basketball, but in reality isn't considered blue blood in either.

If LSU is not a blue blood, please define blue blood.

You would have characters as coaches like O and Miles with national titles, as well as a stint with Saban

Please explain your criteria for this statement.

The only bluebloods in the SEC are Bama and Tennessee

LSU was the first team that wasn't an Ivy League school or named Michigan to win a National Championship.
LSU
LSU

LSU has more recent national championships so I'd go with them. Even as a UGA fan.

Both are blue bloods. You see talking heads say “perennial Top 10 teams”..... now that doesn’t apply to ANYONE. Notre dame, Bama all of them have gone through hard timed.
Every program has ups and downs, but overall UGA and LSU aren’t one hit wonders. Dominant runs in different eras, rabid fan bases, traditions, championships, all Americans etc.

Neither. And that's not a knock on those two. Bama/OU/ND/USC/OSU are the only true blue bloods. The rest are good programs that can play for a title every decade.

How many decades of success have you had? How many decades were average or unsuccessful? Sustained success over a long period of time.
The other things such as conference and national championships, individual awards, etc all come with sustained success.
An example. Ohio State has lost 7 games twice in their history and those seasons were 114 years apart. They've never posted a decade with a losing record.
I just used Ohio State as an example because I know their history. If you plugged in Alabama, Oklahoma, etc. you'd see similar numbers.

UGA...and I say that because just about every LSU person on here is a jerk.

I kinda disagree but I also think it's irrelevant
It's kind of like old money, you may not be able to buy (in this case, win) your way into the club. But you can still be rich as hell so who cares?
No offense, but even if O went on a run (which I don't really foresee although I don't see why he can't continue to be successful), he's not going to be a blue blood guy. I guess it's possible that 40 years from now people could look back at Miles and Saban and O and think of LSU as blue blood, but I honestly don't think the standard will even exist at that point, at least not in the same way.

I mean in the year 2060 LSUs 2003 title will be 57 years old
Time and status gets re-written. My paw paw would have called someone a slack jawed fairy if someone in 1940 would have told him Army wont be considered a blue blood in 50 years

I'd say LSU is absolutely on the very edge of that blueblood group, like either "last 1 in" or "first 1 out", with UGA being a half step behind LSU.
The bona fide bluebloods are 7 teams: Bama, OU, ND, Ohio State, USC, Michigan, Nebraska.
Next group: LSU, Texas, Penn State, UGA, Tennessee, Miami.
If LSU gets a title this year, I'd say they are on par with Neb/Mich.

Wrong...LSUs first NC was 1908...LSU doesn’t list it for some reason, it should, but the NCAA does...

I suffered plenty during the 90s and I have enjoyed the last 19 years for the most part.

In terms of wins they are close, UGA 830 and LSU 810. The winning % are the same, and SEC titles are close 13 UGA, 12 LSU. NC's in consensus Polls starting with AP in 1935, LSU 3 UGA 1 or 2 I think. So pretty close. LSU's 3 NCs might give LSU a slight edge.
