I think she was being both funny and sarcastic… and a teachable moment for the reporter.

Smith spews real venom every two to three days. I wonder if he ever self-reflects that he might be rude and condescending

re: NCAA Regulation - degree progress

I presume transfers lose credit hours in moves from school to school... Changes in majors, low grades... Same issue that might result from any student transferring university.

I had to twist some arms substituting a business technical writing class for a science technical writing class. A person could easily make the case for two different 'classes' but their respective syllabus had a great deal of overlap.
My thinking is 'Notre Dame' loved Brian Kelly... and 'Notre Dame' forced out Holtz, considered the Holtz over-rated, ant not 'Notre Dame' material.

Whatever your agenda is and whatever your narrative is, Brian Kelly left Notre Dame and not vice versa.

Geaux Tigers.
'I am told there wasn't a SINGLE incident'... Their contracts were not renewed. Budget AND performance related. Doesn't mean their release wasn't expected by them.

I am speaking from experience of being 'ribbed' myself... Reduction in budget but not a contract.

NCAA Regulation - degree progress

I am an old guy. Wasn't there a regulation related to degree progress, i.e. a two-year student or sophomore was expected to have a certain amount credit hours? My thinking is the portal jumpers joining their fourth team AND university for year four ARE not anywhere on schedule to graduate in four or five years.

I imagine having to consider graduation rates in college sports is so... over.

Forever LSU. Geaux Tigers.
The players are not going to police themselves but they’ll learn quickly sugardaddies do not give their money away.

The money behind NIL at every university will see it fixed.
The buckeyes appear to be firing on all cylinders but mediocre quarterback play could easily result in this being a one score game.

Texas and Penn State lost because their receivers didn’t make enough plays.

Forever LSU
It would be a terrible precedent to invite bama to the 12-team tournament. bama is one-win away from earning their invite.
bama has no business receiving an invite to the 12-team CFP...

This would set a horrible precedent for the inaugural year of the 12-team CFP. HOWEVER I could see the debate for a Saban-led bama team in the 12-team playoff. bama would be in if they won one more game.
Eight posts... and here to sell Dabo? Seriously you must be joking.
The NFL already has the best farm, and culling, system for the pro league. It IS college football.

Conferences and the NCAA could likely initiate a rule that limits the annual jump to the transfer portal by players. I’m speaking of those players entering the transfer portal MULTIPLE times. And these athletes, and the universities could pretend to prioritize graduation, degrees and education for all players.

My thinking is the 85 v. 105 is 85 might be one component to cap NIL and manage team NILs.
Kelly would rather collect an eight figure salary than retire. No one leaves that kind of money on the table.

Keeping Louisiana talent at home is huge and some state talent aren't born to be LSU Tigers.

Forever LSU and Geaux Tigers.
My thinking it was simply a choice of words. Kelly could have every intent to have multiple meanings including notably the national media, conference rivals and their fan bases.
If Kelly's tenure followed Saban's, CBK wins three national championships at LSU. There are approximately ten schools that should be able to compete every three to four years for titles. LSU is one of them... This ability is dependent on good coaching from top to bottom... Not great coaching but good 'coaching' including recruiting.

Miles underachieved here. Geaux Tigers.
Seems the Birmingham office could continue to do this for the foreseeable future from one season to the next... alternate home and homes, and new slate the subsequent year.

I think OU as permanent Thanksgiving fixture IS NOT the worst idea in the world, and I prefer it to Arkansas. Arkansas - Missouri makes sense too.

Geaux Tigers

I would be elated to see Nuss become the greatest quarterback in LSU history... Geaux Tigers
My wife immediately referred to the yellow socks as bird legs and Sesame Street's Big Bird... I'll never unsee the imagery with yellow socks ever.
