Going 15-0 is no easy feat don’t get me wrong but it just feels like a down year in college football. Is this the result of the portal spreading players around making teams less dominant giving teams like this Michigan team a chance to win?

Michigan earned it. The cheating scandal might qualify it as an asterisk year tho.

Out of the last 15 champs? I’d say easily 15th place.

Hear me out. What if the portal spread the talent around so much that the level of competition increased as a whole making it more difficult to crown a champion

I think Michigan might have been the only team outside of Florida State with an elite defensive line. Elite with Depth.

Equal to 2007 LSU. Neither deserved it.

It's not a flashy team or an all-time great team. I'd compare 2023 U-M to 1992 Alabama or 2002 Ohio State.

Michigan played power football. Great running game and great DL.

Solid team, no doubt about that..and best CFB team this year. Having said that, not sure they make the top 25 among BCS/CFB playoffs champions.

The B1G was a bit down this year, but they did beat the best the SEC and PAC had to offer so hats off to them.

I actually think the comparison to 1992 Alabama is a pretty good one. Both teams had elite defenses with strong running games and they both won their championship games by the exact same score 34-13

If Jordan Travis doesn’t get hurt, FSU wins it all.

This Michigan team reminds me of 2009 Alabama. Tough defense, offense that doesn’t get a lot of big plays but does just enough to win.

Probably thinks that since everyone thought that Miami team was so great going into that game, that it's a far more convincing win than Michigan beating Washington.

But looking over the whole year, several times that Bama team could've gotten tripped up, including the SECCG against one of Spurrier's worst UF teams.

I agree, it's a very fair comparison.
