Yellowstone is open year round. The only difference in the winter is only the north entrance and the north-east entrance are open to vehicles. The only road that is open is from Mammoth to Lamar Valley. This is one of the best times to visit the park if you have winter clothing. You will see mor...

Make sure you get some mileage in those shoes before you take them on the Trek. The zero drop and big toe box is not for everyone. My personal opinion...a lot of people will recommend trail runners for long distance hikes. Any time I have a lot of weight on my back, ankle support is paramount...
