Yes we do. You should look at the unemployment rate for CS and Engineering grads. My son graduated with a CS degree in May 2024. He was hired for a desktop support job March 2025. Multiple others he graduated with still have not found jobs.

I’ve watched many developers, systems engineers, network engineers, security engineers in senior job titles laid off and replaced by H1B visa holders in lower job titles so they can pay them less. I’m waiting for it to happen to myself.

Those that have been laid off to be replaced by foreigners are also raising competition for recent grads.

This shows a profound ignorance of economics. It will drive up the costs of housing. People have been shown to make purchasing decisions based upon monthly costs, whether it is auto loans or houses. Just like extending auto loans to 84 months resulted in driving up new car prices, 50 year mortgages will drive up home prices.
